DEThis is certainly no luxury palace, but a solid, somewhat dated room above the local village pub. The landlady is very friendly, which helps create a welcoming atmosphere, and the room is clean. Anyone expecting something extraordinary will surely be disappointed, but you can get a decent meal on the floor below in the evening. It's a drawback that there's nowhere nearby to buy breakfast, and Kilsby is such a tiny place that it's practically deserted. I was passing through on the motorway, and after spending one evening in the village, I continued my journey without leaving any lasting impression – which isn't to say I was dissatisfied.

Some would say the room was basic but it had everything you needed. When people ask would you stay there again, I wouldn’t hesitate in going back.
Clean room, spacious but terrible bed, mattress needs to be replaced, after just ten minutes I was sleeping on the divan base as it sunk so much
