Hyatt Place New Orleans Convention Center

We had a number of issues during our stay. There were a number of visible stains on the walls and curtains in our room, drywall damage near the ceiling sprinklers, and odd odors in several locations throughout the hotel. There was visible mold in the bathroom in multiple locations. Finally, the valet was extremely understaffed, leading to 30 minute waits to get our car on multiple days.

The property was very clean and staff were friendly.

There was only one elevator it took so long to get to its destination. The elevator stopped on every floor even when the buttons weren’t pushed. We were on the 8th floor and a few times we had to take the stairs with 4 kids.

Parking free on the road trip...is the best solution... Or you 40$ to park.

Convention Blvd. MY 1st room tub was dirty. Got to 2nd room blood on the wall. My check in said a different total. Look at my account I see there's a pending charge from them didn't receive my $100 insurance refund as promised the room wasn't like any other Hyatt I stayed at in New Orleans needs updated. Breakfast was great and staff

We booked the room over the phone and for the cruise and stay package and asked multiple times if that covered us staying while we were gone and they told us yes. Only when we got there no one on staff knew anything about it. We also had to pay an extra 50$ for the room that night since it was for a cruise. We had to pay to park that night which we were told was covered but when we went to the parking deck to leave they told us they weren’t affiliated with the Hyatt. The hotel was nice and conditions were fine, however they staff wasnt helpful with what we came for. Would not book this hotel again if it was for cruising.
