Hampton Inn Uniontown

I'm rarely disappointed with Hampton Inn with its free breakfast, ample parking, and great locations. This was one of those Hampton Inns that I found enjoyable to stay at. Our room was very typical of other Hampton Inns I've stayed at, with metal drawers for putting clothing items, a large TV, elegance, and good Internet speed. The guest room had beautiful carpeting. Everything in the room was attractive, including the bed. The bathroom contained large bottles of shower soap rather than the small plastic bottles that are a waste. We enjoyed the large swimming pool and hot tub. The hot tub was hot enough to be enjoyed, but not too hot. Breakfast was excellent, with scrambled eggs that actually tasted like eggs. There were plenty of items to choose from at the buffet. The only thing I'd comment about that was a negative was the carpet in the elevator, which needed to be cleaned.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Pillows are to small. Covers were to heavy. King size bed should have king size Pillows. Sheets could have been better quality.

Great breakfast!

We never received clean linens even though we stayed 3 nights. I went to the front desk with our used towels and the clerk recorded that I had picked up clean linens. It made me feel like a potential thief. And because I had picked up clean towels we didn’t receive anymore during our stay. No trash pickup and no making of our bed.

Great coffee! Very nice breakfast buffet. Warm cookies in the evening.

Black mold in the shower. I tried to remove it but didn't have any cleaning tools or bleach. Bad smell coming from sink. Dust hanging down from lamp shade. Drapery hanging down at end. Carpet in elevator need s to be replaced. Usually not vacuumed. Tile floor not cleaned daily near front desk.

The pool area is exceptional! I used to lifeguard at a 4 star hotel, and this was nearly up to that standard. Chemicals seemed perfect. Jacuzzi just the right temperature, and extremely clean. Spacious pool deck with lots of windows to let in light. The breakfast was also far above any other hotel continental breakfast.

There were some loud guests whose kids kept rushing up and down the hall to their friends' hotel room. The front desk dealt with this as well as they could, and said we could have had some kind of a refund if we hadn't booked through a third party (ie booking.com), so I was disappointed by that.
