The room was open, spacious and very clean. The amenities were plentiful and the room was serviced every day! The pool was sparkling clean and very inviting, and the area had plenty of outdoor lounges. The full buffet breakfast was amazing, with everything you could want being available, even a waffle and a pancake machine to make your own fresh!!!!

The breakfast was fabulous, as was the pool. The terrific price was commensurate with the builders and scaffolding everywhere, which wasn't too inconvenient but maybe we were just lucky.

The parking involved a bit of a walk through two sets of heavy doors to get to the hotel foyer, which was ok for us but I'm glad we didn't have heaps of luggage or a pram and kids or needed to go in and out in our car during our stay. Parking was supposed to be free with our room but we were charged at the exit gate, which was very annoying. I even double-checked this at the front desk before we left, to see if we needed an exit pass or something but they said no, it would recognise our numberplate.

They kept advertising the after hours service. I tried calling multiple times and no one picked up - this was at around 10.30pm Then finally I left my room and went down to reception at 11pm, there was one person there who even acknowledge the calls they received (but strangely didn’t pick up?) and they said there is no after hours service (despite that being promoted everywhere). Also didn’t have a welcome sweet treat thing which they also advertised. Both of the issues above aren’t that big a deal but given that it is the Hilton and they did charge me quite a bit, I thought they would live up to it.

Good location. Nice room with comfortable bed and was quiet, so we were able to have a good night’s sleep. Good breakfast. Friendly restaurant staff.

We were disappointed not to have been notified in advance of the significant works going on. Didn’t adversely affect our stay but was off putting on arrival and did restrict available facilities a little I think. Reception team were not as efficient as we would have expected them to be.
