"Exotic destination"

10.0

A beautiful property with Lilly ponds and a pan-Asian restaurant right by the river, that’s closed on Monday Had a wonderful lunch at the coffee shop and strolled across to the beach visible up front.. Sanjit the guard with a big smile guided us to the secret entrance that opened to the beach.. 🌊🌴 🌤️

"Is St Regis really the best Hotel in Goa?"

2.0

Disappointing Experience at St. Regis Goa – Management Needs Serious Improvement Despite the beautiful property and generally lovely frontline staff, my recent stay at the St. Regis Goa was overshadowed by multiple service failures that are simply unacceptable from a hotel of this calibre. Firstly, the television in our room was not functional throughout our stay. Despite multiple requests, no one was able to fix it. It’s shocking that while India has successfully reached the moon, a five-star luxury hotel is unable to resolve something as basic as a working TV in guest rooms. Even more concerning was the air conditioning issue. The AC in some rooms constantly created condensation, causing the marble floor to become dangerously slippery. We repeatedly raised this safety concern with the hotel, but no meaningful action was taken to resolve it. The most frustrating part of this experience, however, was dealing with the management - or rather, trying to. We requested to meet General Manager Mr. Amit Malhotra on multiple occasions during our week-long stay, yet he was conveniently unavailable every time. Disappointingly, it was only after we checked out that he suddenly found the time to WhatsApp us, asking if there was anything he could do or assist with on our next stay. This feels like damage control rather than genuine care - where was this energy while we were actually guests at the property needing assistance? To make matters worse, after I raised my complaint, the hotel bizarrely called my sister at 11 PM, waking her up, to ask for my phone number. This was entirely unprofessional and intrusive. Following that, I was then bombarded with phone calls and WhatsApp messages on both of my phones - while I was trying to enjoy the remainder of my holiday in Mumbai. Where was this urgency when my mother and uncle asked to speak with management during my stay? Another disappointing incident involved the main bar at the lobby. I was misinformed about the opening times, only to later witness the staff happily accommodating Caucasian guests. It’s hard not to feel that being a fellow Indian guest did not command the same level of hospitality or courtesy - something that left me deeply uncomfortable. There were more issues I could detail, but the main takeaway is this: the frontline staff were all wonderful, courteous and genuinely tried their best. They are not the problem - the problem lies firmly with the poor and evasive management. A property as stunning as the St. Regis Goa deserves leadership that matches the professionalism, dedication, and warmth of its staff. Unfortunately, that was sorely lacking in my experience. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the management to reflect upon — because the current standard is not reflective of the St. Regis brand nor the level of service one expects when choosing to stay at a hotel of this supposed standing.

"ants in room, more like 3 star, management crap (Amit Malhotra)"

2.0

Staff were great, however there were things that ruined our stay at St Regis... 375, 389 & 390. 375 had ants in the bathroom, powercuts were almost certain multiple times per night - which meant getting up and resetting the AC temperature. TV in all rooms were crap and didnt work at all, even after telling staff everyday, they couldnt seem to fix it. Room 389 had AC issues & noone could solve it, we ended up fixing it, it couldve been a hazard as water was dripping and leaving puddles on the floor - if we fell it wouldve been bad. AC vent in resturaunt was dripping into out water, italian made us super ill. We requested to speak to the manager: Amit Malhotra, staff said they would connect us but never did - looks like he wasn't man enough to face us and even try to resolve our issues, let alone listen. worst general manager we've come accross - a ghost, doesnt deserve the job. lovely place but definitely overpriced and over rated 3 star not 5 praise allll the staff - hospitality, housekeeping, buggy drivers, waiters, reception were all lovely, management are crap (Amit Malohtra)

"Don’t even consider it as st Regis property"

2.0

Terribly wrong with management. Had to fight for coconut water at pool. No cocktail selection. Washroom at pool side make you feel like they were washed or maintained in last birth. Staff use the same washrooms at pool side as guests. This doesn’t feel like st Regis u know. The staff is extremely unprofessional. Saurabh restaurant manager actually has fun saying no for a drink at pool side. And say it’s hotel policy. Alert - this resort need internal audit from st regis. I can bet something fishy going on here. Management need complete overhaul.

"Goa - Vacation at St. Regis"

10.0

This May, had a great time at St. Regis with my family. My 9 year old loved the place, its so pristine and beautiful. she did not want to step out of the resort..and almost ended up spending all of the 4 Nights and 5 days staying mostly at the resort. The hospitality, food, service were all amazing... Great staff, customer centric attitude, prompt, responsive, willing to help and go the extra mile at every possible instance. . Thank you Atila, Ms. Prabhdeep (Front office Manager), Kavita our Yoga Instructor, Golf cart riders Mahableshwar, Karthick, house keeping staff Rupayan, entire support staff at the restaurant, staff at the cycle stand, and many more of the team who ensured our stay was pleasant and a memorable one. Special thanks to Atila, Prabhdeep for promptly adressing the smallest of the concerns highlighted and ensuring our stay was great. Wonderful to interact with Mahableshwar and Karthick...was awed to see such great dedication tat work at such young age. St. Regis is very lucky to have such a great team. Would love to visit again soon. Thank your for the wonderful experience.. we will cheris this for a long time. Best regards, Basant

"Exceptional Hospitality & Early Check-In Make for a Perfect 5-Star Stay"

10.0

A great resort to unwind and recharge from the hustle and bustle of city life. The hospitality by the staff was excellent, and the butler service(Lakshay) was top-notch. A special shout-out to Megha and her team for arranging our room a full six hours before the standard check-in time — it was a huge help as we were traveling with a toddler and arrived early in the morning. Truly a 5⭐️ experience!

"Where Royalty Meets Reality — A Flawless St. Regis Experience in Goa"

10.0

The opening scenes of Netflix’s “The Royals”—shown as Sri Lanka—were actually filmed right here, at the stunning St. Regis Goa Resort. And honestly, the setting couldn’t be more perfect. Formerly known as The Leela Goa, this iconic property opened in 1991 and has long been regarded as Goa’s premier luxury resort. In 2022, it rebranded as St. Regis Goa, and post-renovation, it feels fresher, grander, and more contemporary than ever. The pool, rooms, and several key areas have been beautifully updated while still preserving the resort’s legendary charm. Location & Grounds: Located in South Goa, the resort enjoys direct beach access—and it’s one of the cleanest, most peaceful stretches of sand you’ll find at any five-star in the state. The expansive estate includes lush gardens, lagoons, and even a full-fledged golf course, which is a rare feature even among top-tier resorts in India. Rooms & Suites: I stayed in the Manor Pool Suite, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The space is humongous, elegant, and comes with a private pool that made it hard to ever leave the room. It’s a blend of quiet luxury and sheer indulgence. Food & Beverage: During the monsoon (June), three restaurants were operational: • Miri – The all-day dining venue, where I enjoyed one of the most impressive Sunday brunches I’ve seen in a while. • OLIVETO – Their Italian fine-dining restaurant, where I had the chance to make my own pizza during an Italian cooking class led by a Sicilian chef. I don’t care what anyone says—that pizza was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had. • Riverside – An Asian fine-dining restaurant with a beautiful location and a great menu. Every dish was thoughtfully executed. The F&B here is exceptional, and honestly, Goa rarely sees this level of consistency across cuisines. Service: Service was impeccable throughout. A special shoutout to my butler, Rohan, who was warm, efficient, and always a step ahead of my needs. From restaurant reservations to champagne on call—everything was handled perfectly. Experiences & Rituals: St. Regis is known for its signature champagne sabering ceremony, held each evening—and I was fortunate to not only attend but also participate in a sabering class. It’s these thoughtful, well-curated moments that elevate the entire stay. Final Thoughts: The rebranded St. Regis Goa has not just lived up to the Leela legacy—it’s redefined it. With its updated design, exceptional food, and classic St. Regis rituals, it’s now among the very best luxury resorts in India. Whether you’re a returning guest or a first-time visitor, this is one of those properties that’s practically impossible not to love.

"The best in Goa"

10.0

I recently stayed at the St. Regis Goa and my experience was exceptional. We booked the Manor Suite that included airport transfers in a swanky BMW. The suite was spacious and well-appointed, with a private plunge pool that added a touch of exclusivity. From the soft, comfortable bed to the thoughtfully curated amenities, everything was spot on for a relaxing stay. What made our experience even better was the exceptional service. Rohan and Roshan, our butlers, were fantastic, always available, prompt, and incredibly thoughtful. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Shubham who is the head of butler service, also ensured that everything was smooth and checked in with us regularly. Now, let’s talk about the food which was hands down some of the best I’ve had, not just in Goa but at any luxury hotel. • At Riverfront, the Asian dishes were packed with flavours, and the riverside setting added to the vibe. • Miri, the all-day dining restaurant, had an incredible breakfast and brunch spread that was difficult to resist. Everything was delicious and made to perfection. • Oliveto, the Italian restaurant, impressed us with its authentic wood-fired pizzas and oh so creamy pastas. Don’t forget to try thier Tiramisu, it was impeccable. The St. Regis Spa was a winner i’d say. The soothing ambiance and skilled therapists made it an ideal place to unwind. We tried their signature therapy recommended by Dr Praseed Nair. We even had floating breakfast one of the days and a champagne Sabering masterclass at the suite and it was so much fun. Whether it’s the food, the service, or the serene setting, everything about St. Regis Goa hits the spot. It’s a place I’d happily return to, and one I’d recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious and hassle-free escape.

"Excellent Stay!"

10.0

We stayed in their Manor Pool suite (being their top suite offered for the time being) for three nights and availed the complimentary airport transfer service. Mr. Samir the driver was extremely polite and nice and we specially requested to be dropped back to the airport during checkout by him. The hotel was earlier a Leela Palace Property and although undergoing renovation (most of the suites are under renovation), is amazing. The property gorgeous, is lush green with lagoons and is huge. It has its own beach and although it was raining and the sea was rough, it was beautiful to walk on the beach during the rain. We were received by their head butler Mr. Shubham Sharma who also head the bell and the concierge. The main lobby is exceptionally beautiful - built like a palace with a koi fish pond. The Manor Suite is quite spacious, nice with a lovely plunge pool. It has a separate kitchenette and a powder room. The plunge pool is quite large. The room is nice with all modern amenities but will be soon taken up for renovation. Manor suites are located in a separate area of the property which is like a gated part of the hotel. It has it exclusive swimming pool along with a lounge. We were allotted one of the nicest suites # 931 which overlooked the Golf course, the sea, very near the Manor lounge and the Manor swimming pool. One can always use the main pool in the property which is huge next to the lobby. They have many award-winning restaurants on the property and a nice SPA. We did try the SPA but they don’t have a functional couple’s room yet as it is under renovation. The therapists were good and the massage was very relaxing. Breakfast at Miri was good but the place gets overcrowded as the hotel was running at full capacity. The dinner @ Miri was avoidable due to the chaos. Their in-room dining is also very nice. We also opted to have breakfast at Manor lounge which was amazing. The lounge also offers an extensive complimentary high tea and happy hours and serves non alcoholic beverages during the day. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Apoorv Jawa – their young, dynamic hotel Manager. Need to thank their bell team – Mr. Umanand (who took us around the property), (golf cart drivers) - Mr. Mahabaleshwar (very friendly and chatty with whom I engaged in lots of conversations), Mr. Shanker and Mr. Shahnawaz. At the Manor Akriti, Sunny and Jessica were outstanding and so were the chefs. Mr. Rohan Melanta - butler assigned to us. This property is extremely beautiful. They have activities planned for the entire week – their bar cum game room is very nice – we did use the Table tennis table. Once renovated fully, it will be - as we feel the best hotel in Goa having one of the nicest beaches. We are looking forward to visit them once again after their renovations are completed sometime during October – November 2025.
