Omni La Costa Resort & Spa Carlsbad

In brief, from arrival to departure, the experience was wonderful. We were treated with great customer service and we loved the room. We are going back for recreation.

The room smelled moldy/ musky. Especially the pillows I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they sent a tech. The tech replaced the HVAC filter and said not much more can be done.

we had a forgetful stay here. our first night, we found a bedbug and immediately notified the front desk. we were displaced for over 2 hours while the front desk looked for a new room for us. management told us that it wasn’t a bedbug after “tests” but a quick google search says otherwise. our second room had a lighting issue that we dealt with for 3 nights, and wasn’t fixed even after notifying maintenance. i don’t trust this property and will not recommend it to anyone. upon checkout we were met with attitude from the front desk regarding a food/bev credit. just left a bad taste in our mouths. bad, bad, bad. amenities are great, food and beverage was great but never staying here again.

Great for families traveling with small children. Not recommended as a golf and spa weekend for adults. Too crowded, understaffed, and there are better places (Pelican Hill, Brandon Dunes, mauna kea, ponte vedra inn & club) for an adult golf and spa trip

The staff overall was nice and very friendly. The property and room are dated, and look in need of some TLC. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. We found a cockroach in our room, which we disposed off and let the staff know. They said they would spray and do a thorough cleaning; this was not obvious when we came back. Garden pool was dirty on the bottom and had quite a lot of stuff floating in it. Overall for the price I expect better quality and level of appearance. We have stayed at less expensive places that are cleaner and better overall. Also parking is very expensive ($40 a day) for a property that is not close to anything.

I was charged 400$ in my credit card for the check-in. That was supposed to be returned after my stay. 1 month has passed and it was not yet returned. I messaged the hotel and they said it would be returned... but so far...

Wonderful stay at the Omni La Costa! The pools, restaurants and room were all great! Customer service was excellent too! The grounds are beautifully landscaped 🤩. We will definitely be back!

Great property!! Enjoyed our stay

We arrived at 4 pm but the room was not available until 6 pm. The hotel food is a little expensive and not good as we expected.
