The Milestone Inn

What kind of hotel doesn't answer the phone? What kind of hotel doesn't have someone present in the office? Tried to change the reservation, but since they don't answer the phone I couldn't... I wanted to cancel reservation for next night, but since they didn't answer the phone, they wouldn't refund! I had to stay in the place or lose my $$... Hotels.com was no help either. Like one of the other reviewers said, the bathroom fixtures were loose, I also noticed cobwebs in corners and the tub felt oily. The mattress springs covers were so old looking and had drips of stains all over them, beds were noisy. Biggest complaint was not being able to reach staff and then having to stay since they wouldn't cancel my reservation for the next night. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

We needed a place to stay in Woodbury, CT and took a chance on the Milestone Inn which had some good reviews. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a great value. And across the road there was a great place for breakfast.

My stay was an absolute nightmare. The rooms were dated, the bathroom had been repaired sloppily. You could see the glue that was put around toilet. The nighttime manager was walking outside our room late in the evening yelling that some of the guests were squatters. He had his tv on loud the whole night and you could smell his cigar smoke. I can not be sure but it appeared that there was a camera installed in the bathroom. Could they be spying on guests? Would never stay there again and I do not recommend that anyone stay there.

A friend of mine from Texas came to visit me the first weekend of March, and I advised he stay at the Milestone Inn, as it is so close to where we live and I pass it literally every day it looks lovely. When I called to assist with the reservation, the person I spoke to on the phone was so friendly, so personable, and so accommodating, it was beyond my comprehension, as I am used to being treated as number versus a name and a person. The agreement was made that the key would be left in a specific area and payment processed the next day, and that went off without a hitch. We happened to get a decent amount of snow that weekend, and my friend told us that the innkeeper was in the lot shoveling snow, making sure guests had access to everything. He also said the room was beautiful, comfortable, and had all the amenities as a higher end inn in this area would carry. I could not recommend this place more if I wanted to, because my friend enjoyed a most pleasant, peaceful, comfortable stay here in Woodbury, CT, and it made me feel good in terms of knowing if someone is coming to visit me and I can not accommodate them in my condo, I can refer them to the Milestone Inn and know they will be treated like family. Thank you, Milestone Inn, so very much for your hospitality and emphasis on quality customer care.

Where to begin? Upon driving into the parking lot it seems i fowled up the creepy little managers smoke break and i can see him mouthing the F word to me up and down as he walked back to his office to check me in. Note: i called and made the rez for my girlfriend and i. Later that night my girl and i went to grab dinner and then came back went into our room (rm 4) not shortly after getting settled i found creepy little manager out side of our room calling us squatters i confronted him and he walked away, 15 mins later my girl went to her car and we can hear him yelling check out time is at 8am (sign on the door said 11 am) maybe i got this guy on an off day with a stick up his butt i dunno. The room was nice, and clean aside from a non professionaly fixed leakey toilet with expansion foam around it. Later that night creepy little man had his tv blasting and made it very hard to sleep and very unwelcoming. I prefer to spend my money on small mom and pop shops over huge places. I will never spend another dime at the milestone inn Woodbury

The Milestone Inn is a comfortable and affordable choice in Woodbury. The bathrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and it’s very convenient to town. It has been a great little weekend getaway place from New York City.

I am a local resident and during one of our four Nor-easter's my home lost power for four days. My family of four needed a place to stay because we didn't have any heat or water in our home. I stopped in and talked to Frank and he was amazing. He set us up in a room and made sure that we had what we needed. He takes pride in his work and was very understanding of our situation. Even though I didn't have a reservation or set plan to stay there (who knows when that power is going to come back on!) he called to see if we needed a room when he hadn't heard from me. He was very accommodating since we didn't know what our situation was from day to day, but he kept us in mind, to see if we needed a room or not. My family and I thank you so much! The rooms were clean and warm and the beds were very comfortable. There are a few restaurants within walking distance so we were able to get breakfast in the morning, too. Frank, you are an awesome Innkeeper. Thanks, again!

During the recent snow storm, my husband was stranded in Woodbury. I searched all over and finally found the Milestone Inn and Frank. Frank is top notch and the owner of the Inn is lucky to have such a helpful, service oriented employee. Having stayed at Ritz Carlton's, where you pay $$$$ for good service, i can't say enough about the great service and Frank.. Owner take note: Hold onto this one and treat him well or someone else will scoop him up. Thank you Frank.

Booked this hotel because it seemed very pretty the last time I was in CT and reviews were good. Close to our son and new wife who live in Watertown. We needed a place to stay when we visit as they are not in their own place. Clean, updated room with great amenities. Bed was very comfortable. Frank, the Manager went above and beyond to make our stay great. We will return again and again when we come to visit.

The rooms are decent, but not something to write home about. Beds are fine, rooms are somewhat spacious but very outdated. Washrooms are dirty, the floors were covered with hair and crumbs. The bathrooms are clearly not maintained nor cleaned for that matter. It is okay for a one night stay, but in my opinion not recommended for a long term vacation.
