Red Roof Inn Clearfield

On the hotel app the picture showed a new renovated room. What I got was a rundown room, kinda clean and a bad smell to it.

The cost of our room was reasonable; however, 3 out of 4 light bulbs in our bed room did not work. (Both lamps with defective light bulbs had electric outlets which did work.) I liked the fact that the sink was in a separate room from the shower and that we had access to USB ports to plug in our hearing aid chargers. Finally, the drain for the whower/tub was slow.

It was what expected. Staff was super nice. Room clean. However, bed needed to be replaced. Ithas a hole where everyone sits on the bed. Also i dont think the pillows were changed from that guest. I could smell perfume on the pillows on the other side of bed. So i switched them. Other than that comfortable.

There is no wifi

Place was fairly clean and said it had been remodeled recently. But there were cracks in walls light fixtures were hanging out of ceiling. Definitely needs some work.

Gal at check in was pleasant and helpful.

Very old and run down

While the Staff was nice, the floor in room 105 on Thursday night was so dirty that my feet caused the water in my shower to turn black for about half a minute. Room 125 on Sunday night did not have a mini fridge and the room was so beat up and badly repaired it was just embarrassing that anyone would be put in this room. We have never been disappointed in Red Roof Inn prior to this experience and while we will visit Clearfield again, we will never stay at this place again. We will also be rethinking our twice yearly stays at the Red Roof Inn in Galax, Virginia.
