Quality Inn Rochester South

I was fishing a tournament near Rochester and stayed one night at this hotel. I had a boat with me and the person at the front desk chewed me out for bringing my boat the to hotel. He kept saying over and over that I was going to be responsible to pay for an electrician if I blow their circuit breakers by plugging in my boat in their outdoor outlets. He was very rude and unprofessional. He also asked if I was going to pay for the extra electric that I was using to charge my boat batteries. I fish a lot of tournaments all over the Midwest and I’ve never been treated like this before. He kept saying that the next time I needed to call and let them know I was bringing a boat. I told him that due to how he was treating me there would not be a next time. This person needs to be trained on how to treat customers!! Also the smoke detector was disconnected and lying on the microwave.

I have never been in such a disgusting hotel. Something was wipe all over the drapes. Dead bugs on the floor, dust bunnies all over the carpet. The bathroom was full of black mold the towels looked like they were dirty. Never stay here it awful !!! We I said something to the front desk she said she would have to let housekeeper know.

The hotel is a complete Dive! Would not recommend!

A quiet, clean room would have been adequate. The location was quiet and away from the main road. The staff was friendly even though sometimes there was no one around for extended times. We will not go back for two issues. One, my husband made the bed and found the comforter (hidden by a coverlet) so gross that it was a deal breaker. There was visible dirt around the edges of the room, which is unsightly but not that bad, but the comforter was too much. Two, there was a lot of overgrown plants and grass around the property. Again, unsightly, but the real problem was that one day a stray dog, which must live in the overgrown bushes, emerged into the parking lot. We never saw it again, but it was unnerving.

Room wasn’t the cleanest, no ice on the second floor because it wasn’t plugged in, changed me 20 dollars more then the first night when I wanted to stay another night. Even though it was barely occupied. They are trying to make me pay for the room we had twice now. I caught it on my credit card and haven’t heard back yet from them.
