Everline Resort and Spa, Lake Tahoe

We had such high expectations for this property, but unfortunately, our experience could not have been more disappointing. From the lack of pre-arrival communication to the outright disregard for our Globalist status, the entire stay felt like a complete letdown. No Pre-Arrival Outreach – For a Category 8 property, we expected at least some effort to confirm our needs before arrival. Nothing. Rude Front Desk – Not only did the staff fail to acknowledge our Globalist status, but they were also shockingly rude when we politely asked if the parking charge could be comped (a simple courtesy at many other Hyatt properties). Instead of accommodating, we were essentially dismissed. At checkout, we expressed our dissatisfaction, but the agent just ignored us—no apology, no acknowledgment—just coldly processed us out. Billing Issues – As a Globalist, we were entitled to two complimentary waters per day. Yet, at checkout, we were charged for them and had to argue to get the charges removed. Unacceptable. The room was in desperate need of upgrades—worn-out furnishings, outdated decor, and overall lack of maintenance. Hygiene Issues – Finding hair in the bathtub might seem minor, but at this price point and tier, basic cleanliness should be a given. Overall: A deeply frustrating stay from start to finish. For a hotel of this caliber, the lack of attention to detail, poor service, and overall neglect of elite guest privileges was shocking. We’ve stayed at far more modest Hyatt properties with infinitely better service. Will not be returning.

The amenities are amazing! I will say the staff at times seemed annoyed at some guests asking for change at the coffee shop or help with the right sized shoe at the retail store on-site.

Ask if there is a convention on your dates ahead of time. They seem to hold lots of conferences and it will definitely impact your stay. Views are incredible. Prepare for thunderstorms impacting your afternoons in summer. If there is lightening they do have to close pool for safety. There are 3 pools and 3 hot tubs which is nice to spread out people especially in the hot tubs. The slide looked out of order but staff turned it on when asked.

we really enjoyed our time and it was nice going off-season as despite them having the ski lift clothes. There were still plenty of fun activities to do in the Tahoe area. We did a bike ride excursion which we really enjoyed and it was beautiful scenery of the river will visit again hopefully during this winter.

This is an excellent resort, the setting and location are outstanding and the service and amenities are top notch. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location. But the suites seem a little outdated and was disappointed with the fact that the gym/workout area was not in the building where the rooms are located. Also, I could hear people in the adjacent room tallking even though they were not yelling.

I had a wonderful time at Everline – everything was taken care of so smoothly that it almost seemed magical. I want to mention Kimball (concierge) in particular. She clearly loves her role at Everline and she performed some wonderful magic for my team. In the most disorganized way possible, we brought a cake with us to Everline to celebrate our boss’s birthday. One person bought the cake and a different person drove it up to Tahoe and then on the day --- well, really, at the moment that we were ready for it, I went to Kimball’s desk and asked if she could help me serve it. She not only helped, but she made it SO special! She knew things to ask that I hadn’t even thought about – plates and forks, how did I want it served, when was a good time, etc – she then got the room service staff to bring it over with candles lit and it was like it came out of nowhere – our boss was completely surprised! Then to top it off, she presented him with a bottle of wine, courtesy of Everline. I went to thank her after our cake and business meeting had ended and I got to know her a little bit, which is how I know how much she loves to make everything special for everyone. During our conversation, it slipped out that my birthday was that actual day and our boss’s birthday is actually a week later. She immediately wanted to give me a bottle of wine as well, which I declined with thanks because I don’t really drink that much. A little while later, I was in my room and there was a knock at the door and there she was with the person whom I believe she was training – with a box of truffles tied with a ribbon and helium balloons and a card signed by 10 or 15 front house members! SO thoughtful and such a surprise. I was just overwhelmed and so grateful. She is a wonderful representative for Everline and she made my stay and that of so many people really unforgettable.

The views were outstanding! I could sit and watch the mountains all day. Rooms were older but clean and comfortable. Customer service needs to improve to Hyatt category 8 level. Front desk staff did not know whether the breakfast restaurant was open for business. We were told to use the messaging service via regular text, but then when I didn't get a response, an email came to tell me that I opted out of texting, when I didn't opt out of anything.

The resort was beautiful and the views were spectacular. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The resort was conveniently located and there was a shuttle bus to the village which was very convenient. The rooms were spacious and had splendid views.
