La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Wausau

Decent price and clean space.

The metal lamps above the night stands are a hazard. Both my husband and I hit our heads on them multiple times as they stick out so far. That hurt. My husband has a brain injury too so him hitting his head was not good.

The location was okay.

The employee working at desk was very rude and not helpful going so far as to roll his eyes at us. There was no elevator, so we got to lug our luggage up the stairs. The bathroom floor was filthy, it made my socks dirty with dirt in corners and hair on tub. The room was warm and stuffy on arrival and very cramped. Just enough room at ends of beds and between to in and out. Curtains let in street lights from parking lot. Breakfast consisted of runny scrambled eggs, Luke warm sausage links, and waffles which would have been fine. Our overall impression of hotel was dated and needing a very good cleaning. I will say morning employee was more pleasant. We will not be staying again.

Beds were comfortable and location was good for traveling.

There was no elevator and the stairs were in need of cleaning. The fan in the room could not be turned off so it was noisy all night.

We are both in our 80's and were put on the second floor with no elevator. Staff did not offer to help with suitcases.

Breakfast was A+ the waffles are a hit hot chocolate too the pool area was great

I have no complaints on room or staff I do wonder why I haven’t been refunded the incidental $50
