This hotel stands out for its service. I was here for six nights, including a conference plus two additional nights to.focus on a writing project. As it turned out, I kept coming back for supper at the Saguaro Grill because the food was delicious (not typical for a hotel restaurant) and my wonderful server, Juliet, made me feel welcome every time. Service at the breakfast buffet and the front desk was also excellent, as was the housekeeping service provided by Mira. While it's true that the paint in my bathroom had a chip or two, the room in general was spacious, well- designed and quiet, with a view of the mountains.

Although the location is noisy (University), it was perfect for what we needed to access on this trip.

I'm staying at the hotel right now and compelled to write a review. Funny enough, I stayed here years ago for an interview at the University of Arizona. The rooms have been renovated, but they still have an older look and feel. I'm here this time for a conference and if I was not hear for business, I would have changed hotels. Here are the pros and cons Pros Walking distance from the University of Arizona Next door to the Graduate (that has an amazing rooftop bar) The attendant at the Marriott Lounge was fabulous and friendly Room is spacious Cons Room has old, outdated feel to it even tough it has been recently renovated Bonvoy status acknowledged but that's about it... Nighttime noise is loud and you can hear the trains coming in from a distance Executive Lounge food is mediocre at best but place to get water As others mentioned, the bathroom has chipped paint and you can see the wear and tear Shower water pressure leaves a lot of be desired Overall, if you go in and lower your expectations to more our a 3 star feel, you will not be as disappointed. But as a Titanium member, I would be very hesitant to return
