Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort

Location is good, right on the beach and on first impressions looks impressive. Our stay however was disappointing, not what you’d expect from a “Hilton” Firstly the stench of Marijuana constant at the front entrance is overpowering! The smell follows the staff who are smoking it throughout the hotel! Main Reception staff were ok most of the time friendly although at times appeared blunt and abrupt. Other Hilton hotels we’ve stayed in staff have been very well presented, looking smart and professional. Here they looked very casual and bland some looked quite untidy. Checking in was easy. Our room was big and clean with some nice toiletries, there was a strange odour, that we put down to the air con. The room really did need a refurb, it was quite dated and felt old. There were 2 pools, a bar and eating area, along with a coffee shop, all nicely presented. The service we found to be slow and our food didn’t arrive together, my husband had to ask where the other order was. Food was average and warm. The waitress didn’t appear interested at all. The concierge.. nice chatty chap, however we have to question whether he’s on commission with excursions being offered. Half pd to him/concierge/hotel actual excursion $80 but our ticket was only for $40 which had to be pd direct to the excursion company. Concierge made the booking. (not in English) told us the bus would pick us up outside. A white mini bus turned up half hr later than expected and took us to the excursion office. Here we pd the $40 plus taxes, and got a sarcastic reply from the girl stating that everyone knows taxes have to be pd extra. The trip itself is another review. It was the open top red double decker, with stops, literally with what seemed to get you into places to hopefully spent more money with the tour guide getting his own tips, probably for taking you to these places and then reminding you to tip at the end. In his credit he was knowledgeable, when you could hear him over the tannoy system. Back to the concierge, we were told by reception concierge had to book us a taxi, they couldn’t do it?? Arranged taxi, we wanted a yellow cab, stating clearly we didn’t want to pay for a big S.U.V. oh and lo and behold a private car turns up half hr before expected, they can’t speak English (so they said) after some debate a price was agreed ( no choice really we needed to get to airport) there was no ID visible and when we asked he said he didn’t understand. We arrived safely at the airport and the driver clearly asked us which area we required. ( ? was he a taxi at all, or just a man making some cash lol) In brief, the room was dated but clean. (We don’t mind dated, was expecting a little more from a Hilton) Bed was quite comfortable. Shower and products nice. TV worked and there was coffee making facilities. Shampoo, conditioner and shower wash, products smelt lovely. For us the Service was below the standard for the Hilton name. The lovely Tavern opposite which had wonderful service and delicious food is highly recommended. Would we stay here again? sadly no, the smell of the Marijuana was overpowering and we personally didn’t like it, it stunk. The toilets while we were there seemed to be being used as changing rooms for people coming from the pool. I think the ones we used also need a revamp. We have since found far nicer hotels in the same area a lot cheaper. We did have a lovely time in the area with beautiful walks along the beach.

Visited in May. Check in was great, very friendly lady on reception. We were given a free upgrade on our room as my husband recently celebrated a special Birthday 🍾🥂 We were also given a free (or 2 😁) glasses of bubbly. 🥂 The lobby/reception area smelt gorgeous. We have never visited a hotel that had such a lovely smell....it could be bottled and sold 🥰 Our room was on the 9th floor and had a large terrace with fantastic views of Miami. We were also greeted with a bottle of bubbly on ice. This was such a lovely surprise and gratefully received. Our room was very spacious. With a super comfy kingsize bed. A large walk in shower with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and body lotion which all smelled lovely. The hotel is really well situated and has private access to the beach which is gorgeous. Plus easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and takeaways. There is also a large Publix supermarket which took around fifteen minutes to walk to. We loved our stay at the Hilton Cabana and would highly recommend. Thank you for making our stay so special.

I have had the worst Hilton experience I've ever had up until last night. I had asked the front desk a question about an accommodation I needed and Julian made ot happen for me, completely went above and beyond and I am just so grateful. The rest of my experience has still been worth taking note of to ensure I don't stay here again, and I would give 1 Star, but hands down, Julian is worth writing mentioning with a 10 star review. Otherwise, the hotel has tried to charge my card multiple times for the stay that has already been paid for. My room didn't even have a dresser, which I needed for staying a whole week with work. The AC was broken and my room was an ice box. I did not have a comforter on the bed. There were no additional blankets in the room. The TV was broken. Maintenance had to come fix. Only 1 towel, washcloth and hand towel were left in the room for me as a new guest - the reservation said 2 guests so it was no properly prepared. Valet is an additional $54 per day to your stay. Incidentals are $100 per night. Paid up front and refunded later, which is insanely high. And typically not charged unless necessary. Valet was helpful helping me gather my belongings all throughout my many ins and outs for work. I did have 2 bell carts full of equipment and belongings for my work stay and the front desk was only going to allow me to take 2 cart up at a time, leaving expensive equipment unattended, which I was not comfortable with. Valet took my second cart up with me because I was visibly panicking. Julian could tell my frustration, moved my room and helped me move all of my belongings as it was a lot of work equipment. He was a Great conversationalist and actually made me feel welcome, 4 days into my stay.

Their courteous attitude, prompt assistance, and willingness to help made a difficult situation much more comfortable for us. Mr. Karim was extremely respectful and attentive at the front desk, ensuring that all our concerns were heard and addressed properly. Ms. YwaniR demonstrated outstanding leadership and customer service by personally following up and making every effort to support us. Their kindness, empathy, and dedication truly reflect the high standards of Hilton hospitality. We are grateful for their support and would like management to recognize their excellent service. Thank you once again for making our stay better with your care and professionalism.
