PortoBay Flores

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Nice to have happy hour before evening meal. We ate in the hotel on the 1st and the food was reasonable and delicious. Breakfasts were equally delicious with an excellent choice of hot and cold food. We found the hotel was perfectly situated for exploring Porto

We enjoyed 6 nights at this lovely hotel which is perfectly placed in the centre of the city. The staff are amazing and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. We stayed in a Palace Suite in the old part of this beautiful old building and our room overlooked the garden and, as such, it was always peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was very good, a wide selection for every taste and constantly being checked by the chef and refreshed. We didn’t get round to using the spa or the pool so can’t comment on them but judging by the rest of the hotel would imagine they were very nice. We booked our airport transfers through the hotel, which was perfect so highly recommend taking advantage of this service. In summary we had a wonderful stay and will happily return here.

We had a great 3 night stay. Staff were lovely, delicious breakfast, beautiful room and hotel generally, very comfortable bed! Great location in the heart of Porto and near to all the sites and the river.

Our second visit to the hotel and this time with friends. It is in an excellent hotel and I had no hesitation in recommending it to my friends. A great location, friendly service and nice rooms

Needs another mirror in the room. If someone is in the bathroom you do not have access to a mirror other than the really dark one.

We had a lovely stay at the PortoBay Flores hotel in one of the spacious and comfortable palace rooms. The hotel has been beautifully developed, retaining its historic features and charm, whilst providing a contemporary feel. Facing onto the internal courtyard our room was mostly quiet and peaceful, proving a relaxed stay, although there were a few interruptions during the night due to noisy plumbing from the room above. The facilities in the room were very good, with a huge bathroom and plenty of space for clothes, although there weren't enough hangers, but this was quickly resolved by housekeeping. The room is provided with a fridge, but all the space is taken up by the minibar drinks, so very little room for anything else you want to keep cold. Service was generally good, especially in the bistro, although there was a bit of an issue at check-in due to our room not being ready and a slight delay to our bags being delivered to the room. Food was very good at breakfast and at the bistro, where we ate dinner one evening enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the outside seating on the pedestrianised street the hotel stands on. We used the spa facilities, which despite being small, provide another great option for relaxation in the sauna, steam room and pool. All in all an excellent stay, and we would definitely stay at PortoBay Flores if we visit Porto again.
