"Relaxing getaway"

10.0

Staying at Quinta da Pousadela for a couple days was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. It was one of the most relaxing places I've ever been. We were there in late September, and there were only a few other people there at the same time, so it was exceedingly peaceful. The pool was wonderful, wandering around the farm was beautiful, and the food was excellent. The price was surprisingly reasonable, and the wine they produce is decision. If you're looking for a place to relax and unplug, this is it.

"Time to relax"

8.0

We stayed at the 2 bedroom house, which was very spacious. We were a family with 2 little children, one of 4 and 1 baby of 11months. The house was very neat and clean which is very important with a baby of 11months... The quinta is located in the middle of nowhere with very nice 360°views on the area. We very much appreciated the given service. For us, it is definitely a place to remember and maybe go back.

"Living slow "

10.0

My wife and I needed a good rest after a hard year. We decided north Portugal and quilts da pousadela was our first stop after a weekend in Porto. It is really a beautiful place and great team that makes your stay perfect. The nature, food, birds and our accommodation helped to feel totally Zen.

"Great place, service and view!"

10.0

Stayed here for one night as a couple, we ate well both breakfast and dinner and went for a hike on one of the short trails adjoining the winery. It was a good location to base ourselves to explore the rest of the area by car. Very helpful and attentive staff, there are a limited number of rooms so you feel looked after. Lovely pool with views over the hills nearby.

"Hidden gem"

10.0

Pousadela is situated in the hills above Amarante and boast beautiful views and secluded serenity. The staff, Sergio and Miguel, were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure our visit to the region was memorable. The farm to table food and wine from the vineyards are beyond the tourist type food found at many higher end hotels. We will be back!

"Unexpected pleasure in the mountains abovw the Duoro valley"

10.0

Porto was extremely busy with no reasonable accommodation availability so, since we planned to travel east along the Duoro, we reserved this one. Quaint farm, excellent restaurant and very good rustic (looking) accommodations. Note that there is no address, just GPS coordinates on very small roads up the mountains. You should trust your GPS (Google maps), Although it looks wrong, it will be correct. Good prices. In season, they also offer many outdoor activities.

"One of the best "

10.0

It's One of the best places I've ever visited. Its a small wine maker that saved the old style houses made in stone, but completely renovated inside. Its extremely comfortable and the place is a piece of paradise. The staff are so nice and the food is great. Also their wine is worth tasting.

"Quality accommodation and service "

10.0

Stayed one night with family during a road trip. Quiet location with a vineyard and modern and clean rooms. The property had a big pool with awesome views. The dinner service was great as well and reasonably priced and the vineyards wines were really good. Owner went above and beyond of what was expected to make sure everyone enjoyed their stay. Highly recommended!

"Fantastic place to stay"

10.0

Best value for money . In August 2016 (peak season) we paid only €60 a night, great breakfast included, for a (quite) small room with balcony. But other options of accomodation are available as self contained or bigger. We have loved the restaurant with local cuisine, the fantastic and friendly staff, the pool with beautiful view. Only 60k from Oporto. To improve : internet at night time (too busy) more lounge chairs around the pool and would be great to serve breakfast outside.

"A fabulous gem a little off the beaten track"

10.0

The Pousadela Agroturismo was the high point stay on our three week driving tour of Portugal. The owners are fabulous and welcomed us like family. They offer meals every night (just let them know in advance) and the owner prepares everything from scratch. The food was fabulous and incredibly reasonably priced. The Pousadela itself is a series of over one hundred year ols stone block buildings which have all been rebuilt from the ground up over the last few years. Everything is very new and they have done a fabulous job of turning the buildings into your home away from home. They have about 60 acres of grapes and produce their own wine which is offered for sale at the front desk. Be warned that the Pousadela is a little hard to find but when you get there it will be well worth it. The location allows you to visit many other places of interest in the area and our only regret is that we only spent a few days there.
