The rooms were great at this property and the staff really friendly. The shared bathrooms were fine and no huge wait for them in the morning. 2 main downsides for me were that we had to carry out suitcase up 2 flights of a curved staircase as there was no lift. So if you'll have a lot of luggage this is a bit of an issue. Also when i booked it said there was free parking at the property but it wasn't and there was only street parking at additional cost. I think the advert has been updated since so hopefully nobody else will be confused

One of the two toilets was blocked and could not be used. Overall the place was not very good.

Quite a strange setup with maybe 4 rooms around a central communal area with microwave & fridge. Toilets/showers also branched off the communal area meaning you could be disturbed at night if you are a light sleeper with people popping off to the toilets or making midnight snacks.

A sweet apartment with everything you need , close to all the main attractions, shopping etc. The room was spotless and we had a good stay. Will certainly recommand it.

No window in bedroom - this fact should be made clear in description.

The location was good. The lady who greeted us was friendly. However, I didn’t like the fact that it was a shared bathroom, I admit I didn’t read that detail; a couple with 2-3 families meant that we had to wait to use the bathroom on several occasions. We had to park in the street, this was not advertised. We originally had trouble finding the place because it was a black door that looked residential. We couldn’t take our luggage up because of the dark, narrow and windy stairwell. No T.V. Or any entertainment, spasmodic internet reception. In fact I don’t think this kind of property should be advertised via Expedia. It should be privately advertised. I also don’t think check in should be at 4 pm (for any place). We were allowed in earlier due to our bedroom being ready. It was a great disappointment overall becuase it wasn’t what I expected. We couldn’t wait to leave it. And to top it off we got a parking ticket, because you can only park in the street for 4 hours at a time!

Hinta/laatu=huono. Kylppäri käytävässä vaikka huonekuvauksessa luvattiin oma kph. Melu kuului käytävästä. Ei telkkua, ei respaa. Siisti suuri huone kuitenkin.

If you’re happy with just one notch up from a hostel, this is fine. Selfish people making noise was problematic.

Slight confusion about gaining access as first email from owners stated someone would meet me to let me in at an agreed time, later email gave instructions for getting key from keybox rather than being met. Worked out in the end but a bit confusing. Room was adequate for the price, comfortable bed, tea and coffee, clean towels and internet connection. Shared bathroom was clean. My night was unfortunately ruined by an extremely noisy party in the next room who returned at 4 am and despite being asked to keep noise down by myself did not keep at all quiet. They also seem to have invited additional people to the room and there was verbal evidence of drugs being consumed - I could hear pretty much all the conversations taking place as the walls are not well insulated. Because there are no staff on site I think this may be a potential problem and I probably would not stay here again although it is very good value for a night in Edinburgh.
