The apartment we were moved to was in an excellent condition and was newly renovated. Very cosy and comfy with a washing machine, good shower and an enclosed balcony.

The place we booked was changed beforehand to a block of flats nearby. It was a residential block rather than holiday apartments or a hotel. It was a very old building and the apartment we were given was clearly owned by someone who had nothing to do with the building as a whole so we couldn’t speak to anyone who actually worked in the building. Because it was residential there was some noise from neighbouring apartments such as repairs being undertaken and a dog barking. It was also down as a 2 star building on Google Maps whereas the original place I booked was scored as 7.6 and ‘Good’ on booking.com. Also, the main photo I was sent when I was told the original location wouldn’t be available was nothing like the new place. It showed a new apartment block with a nice pool. Not an old building with no pool!

the best part about the property was the harp bar, the tapas and the jollie collies. All lovely staff.

It needs a really good clean, the fridge needs bleached it’s yellow in parts on the inside and the shower needs scrubbed. You do not get value for money, it’s over priced for what it is. The sun beds at the pool were too uncomfy to lie on, not the properties fault but if you want a sunbathing holiday or to chill at the apartment this property isn’t fit for this.

the rooms were like home from home. It was clearly where someone had lived and was therefore setup for living in the apartment.

the rooms and the building were dated and the located appeared to be in a more rundown area.

Raquel who met us was lovely she let us put the bags in the apartment and gave us a key and we could return at 2pm. It was very easy and she was very nice. The apartment was spacious and clean everything you needed, although we was out for much of the time. The balcony was well furnished and big with a view of the pool and street.

The fact that the "vice president of the building was a total nut case! Inflatables are not allowed to be fair it is stated in a notice but she came down like a mad woman took the rubber ring and locked it in a cupboard this left us flabbergasted. A huge row broke out and there was even a scuffle, with a few people. She was rude and aggressive, if she had just pointed out the rules we would have followed accordingly but she ranted like a mad woman, I think she had actually been egged on by a couple of residents who had complained. maybe if you were a couple on your own you may have been fine but she had scared our 5 year old who then would not even wear armbands as she was scared of her not what you need on a short break with your grandchildren. The residents do not seem to like tourists. Shame really as the couple of bars around are lovely namely The Gravy Boat, The Harp Bar, and a tapas bar all of which we ate in all first class, and good prices. However although I would take time out to visit the bars again I would really have to be convinced to stay again and would not take children there. Pity really but the attitude from some residents is not very inviting. Also it is on the top of a hill ......
