The Moorings B&B

Location was good, the breakfast was amazing.

One night stay, perfect. Emma was very accommodating. Wide variety of foods for breakfast, wouldnt go hungry. Our room was at the back of the property so very quiet on this occasion. Free car park behind the B&B. Directly on the sea front.

As our room was located at the back, and directly next to the kitchen. If we wanted a lay in and chose a late breakfast and another guest wanted an early breakfast we would hear every sound that comes from a kitchen, water running, pots and pans clanking, voices etc. The bathroom was very small and could do with updating to match the rest of the B&B, but it was clean.

Just a perfect getaway. Room was cosy and comfortable with everything you could need. Emma can't do enough for you without being pushy. Lovely quiet location yet right on the esplanade. Handy free parking behind the building. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared and Emma knew a lot about the local area. We went to see the Poppies on the Pier installation and she was actually involved in the project. Really count us as lucky for finding this gem. Thanks!!

Spacious room, really comfy bed, lovely landlady. Free parking on the street. Busstop right in front and the sea.

Beachfront location. Welcoming.

We stayed in the "King Suite with Sea View", from which the sea view is perfect. The mattress, bed linen and the towels were in excellent condition. The room was immaculately clean. There are good tea and coffee making facilities. The location was just what we wanted: a relatively unspoiled beach far enough away from the noisy tourist attractions, but close enough to good restaurants. Our hostess, Emma was very kind and helpful. We took her advice on several activities and restaurants in the area. The breakfast was delicious: we had berries and yoghurt followed by a full English every day.

There were no problems, as we had read the description and it is perfectly true. The road in front of the B&B is quite busy, but the double glazing cuts out the noise. The rooms are not enormous, but bigger than the 6 six square metres mentioned on Booking.com. There was a good metre of space on all sides of the king size bed.
