Hotel Indigo Detroit North – Troy by IHG

Staff unprofessional. Renovations. No restaurant. No pool. Poor maintenance.

Flickering ceiling lamp Pool was unavailable. Hotel was being renovated. Broken lamp. Warm refrigerator. Loose showerhead and low water pressure Ice available on first floor only Old carpet in the room was gross All the staff were fantastic

Property was fine, convenient location. Being under construction meant the elevator and some hall areas were tattered and dusty.

The hotel was comfortable however I only booked it to get in the pool their pool and most of the hotel is under construction. Which the hotel says has been for a year.

No pool no breakfast!!!

Exactly what I expected for the price.

The Inn was nice enough especially for the price. The construction was making things a little off, would have liked to use the Hot tub but it was out of commission because of construction and I didn't have my own vehicle so the offer to go to lifetime fitness wasn't an option for me. Elevator was the only obvious dirty part and I'm assuming it was because of construction. Otherwise it was a great deal.

Kori is unprofessional and despite screaming from the rafters that she has 20 years of experience in hospitality management, she acted like this was her first interaction with a human being. Disgusting greasy stringy hair too but that's none of my business...

The room was 200 dollars despite the pool and hot tub being closed and there only being a grab and go breakfast. When I asked to speak with a manager, Kori said "there isn't one" and refused to get one of for me.

I have stayed at Troy Inn & Suites at least five times now. The first two times were before the remodeling and my stays were exceptional. Since remodeling began my stays have been mediocre at best. The most recent stay was the worst. First, due to the remodeling there is no breakfast, no gym on site, and no pool. Second, there was a "mechanical" burning smell on the elevator. Third, there was construction dust/debris in the hallway carpet. It's ridiculous how long this remodeling is taking! In addition to the inconveniences caused by the remode, I was given a room that had an adjoining room. I didn't notice until 11pm. Although staff was very accomodating and assigned me a new room it was still very inconvenient. The location is great, staff is great, but I just refuse to pay the going rate for a hotel stay and deal with all of that.
