Great B&B in the heart of Ambleside. Owner was clearly experienced in the hospitality industry and was polite and helpful. The room was very clean and had nice additional touches to cater for every need. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

"Fantastic B&B in the heart of Ambleside"

The relaxed atmosphere of the B&B. Attentive owners, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent quality products for breakfast and the location is right in the centre! Parking a short distance away included in the price.

"Wonderful hosts, fab location, you won’t be disappointed"

We liked the location, the cleanliness and the secure parking. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. Steve and Caz were wonderful hosts and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious, we will definitely be returning.

"The best place I have stayed in! I will be recommending Hillside."

The welcome on arrival set the standard for the stay. The facilities are exceptional with everything you would see in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was excellent. Caz and Steve want to ensure that all their guest’s needs are met - and exceeded.

"A pleasant comfortable stay."

Steve was very helpful, pleasant and welcoming. The room was spotless, and the house was well situated in the town. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed our stay.

For us, we would prefer a bigger bed and more spacious room but what we had was sufficient and good value for the price.
