Dutch Wall Fort

Amazing stay inside the fort. Great location for exploring early morning and evening. Great room for resting in the heat. Hosts were so lovely: kind and helpful

Difficulty to get parking. Wish they put shower screens in the bathroom rather than just shower curtains.

We've been to Sri Lanka multiple times, and in particular, we love Galle Fort—this old fort is amazing! The accommodation fully matches the photos. It's clean, tidy, with a good bathroom and shower. The bed was a bit creaky, as an antique style and the pillows were a little bit low for me. But it's not so big deal for a few nights. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the tourist area, very close to the lighthouse, the local beach, and the fort's structures. Cargills is also nearby, which is very convenient! A good, hearty breakfast—a mix of local cuisine and the standard eggs/sausages/toast option. Good coffee and tea.

A few minor things: -no safe -no kettle or cups in the room Add these, and it would be a 10 for Sri Lanka. It's really not a big deal for me, but few of our group needed this option.

The staff were lovely. They made us a picnic breakfast because we had an early train to catch. Our room although small, was very clean and the air con worked well. The location of the property is great. I would definitely recommend staying within the old town walls.

Small, family-run place. Nice, large rooms and superb location metres from the southern end of the fort wall. Dead easy to walk everywhere in the old town. Could just about see the sea from the large balcony, but didn't spend much time using it

Slightly bizarre that the owner sleeps on a sofa in the 'lobby' area, continuing even through breakfast which felt a bit awkward... Could only pay in cash like quite a few Sri Lankan hotels

Location is perfect for a stay in Galle Breakfast was really good (authentic Sri Lankan) Owners provided an umbrella for the rains

Prices can be a little expensive compared to others in the area

Location. Right in the heart of the fort. This was great as it meant we can nip back anytime for a break especially when it got hot in the afternoon. Balcony overlooked the sea. We had a Sri Lankan breakfast both mornings which were amazing. Staff very friendly.

The bed wasn’t that comfy. Personal opinion.
