Days Inn by Wyndham Statesville

I booked thru Hotels. Com this motel last weekend and last Thanksgiving(2024) weekend. Both times I booked a Non-Smoking Accessible room for my wife. Both times upon arrival I was told they did not have an accessible room available. They were able to give us a bottom floor non-smoking room however. I am a long time platinum Choice Hotels member and never have this issue. Always get what I booked. The price for this Days Inn is unbeatable in the area of Statesville NC but I do not feel I will be booking this hotel again thru Hotels.com simply because I have been denied the room I booked on line in advance thru Hotels.com now twice in a row.

Bugs, spiderwebs inside, cigarette burns on floor and sheets in a “non-smoking room”. floor was dirty. Trash behind furniture. overall bad experience.

great price point - about what you would expect for $100 CAD -friendly, helpful guy at front desk -could do late check in -floors clean, walls had done splashes on them -towels nice & clean -spacious room - wheelchair accessible -bed and pillows comfy -curtains blacked out the light -separate area with sink from the rest of the bathroom with extra set of towels -sink drained slowly and faucet wiggled a bit -water nice and hot. -tub even had a seat for those who needed it -caroet and flooring in main room was well-maintained, except in front of the desk - looked like dirt -some tiles in bathroom cracked and chipped -room 110, facing highway. - could clearly hear the traffic, but I put in an ear plug and was tired, so it didn't bother me -the sign in the lobby mentioned a grab and go breakfast of juice, coffee, and granola bar. I thought that was if you were leaving early, because there was a spacious area with a number of tables and chairs. We got up and went over to have breakfast at eight, and there was coffee in thermal containers. And my husband noticed a fridge which had an opened carafe of juice. No granola bars. Wouldn’r have expected breakfast at this price point; would have been better not to advertise one than to have this, wh it ch was even as billed -some garbage like bottle caps, in the parking lot. And pop bottles on the window ledges.

You get what you pay for, dirty, hadn't been really deep cleaned in some time.

Desk clerk was friendly. Room was huge and clean. Bed was comfortable

should warn others. And oh, breakfast from 6 AM to to 10 AM...NOT. Not a thing in sight and not a person around when we checked out at 7:15. A sign on the counter said "back in 15-20 minutes", which is of course the stupidest thing since you don't know when the sign was posted. For all I know, it had been there for a hour already.

The biggest rip off you can imagine!! We stayed during the hurricane and first was the room was horrible, nasty and dirty unbelievable nasty, then never got the $100 deposit back, and the room was cleaner than when we checked in, now I am having to return here and made a reservation through Wyndham again only got here now they want a $200 deposit!!! WTF?? You never gave me the first one back, so I know I won’t get this one back and so I would be paying $275 for one night in a trashy motel?? Don’t waste your $$$
