Transit Motel - Hostel

The Transit Motel is what it says on the tin - a nice place to stay for a night near the airport before moving on to the next stop. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the facilities clean and tidy.

It was ok for the price but the we had 2 big cockroach in our room, and snails.

Spend a night here because my flight was an early flight. Good for short trips.

We stayed here for one night after we landed late from our flight. It was terrible. The toilet was broken and leaked urine onto the floor. The aircon (that was promised when booking) was unplugged and the remote removed so we couldn’t use it. The mattresses were filthy and no hot water. We were incredibly disappointed with this accom and would encourage them to do some serious maintenance to there hotel before allowing people to pay for such terrible rooms.

They provide a kettle, water and cutlery upon request. The toilet blocks the door if you are sitting on it. Lovely pool and pargola set up. Smoke area for smokers, ramp access to rooms. Air conditioning in #36 needs service. I'd recommend Transit for cost effective and safety, people are always monitoring the area you are never alone.

Awesome location to both the airport and the wharf. If only there were some shops nearby. But overall it’s a great place with friendly staff. Keep up the good work

If you are the kind of person that is disgusted by random hair or pubs, the smell of mould, dislikes a rock hard bed that is only fitted with only a sheet as a blanket, and does not enjoy karaoke at random times throughout the night or loud conversations at 2am outside your room for half an hour, I suggest only booking here if you are desperate.. Reflecting back, I wish I stayed in Apia and travelled to the airport (35-40 minute drive), stayed awake all night long or slept in our car. Anything else would have been more enjoyable than mould, noise and dirty sheets
