Embassy Suites Dallas - Park Central Area

Location it was right off the highway

They were over booked and didn't have to means to accommodate us

We booked this hotel for the location to activities for Spring Break with my elderly parents and two children. Unfortunately it ended up being the worst Embassy Suites I’ve ever stayed at!! Parking is free, underground, but not a safe feeling environment. Wires and cables hang down and lots of standing water. The hotel is not in the best area. Lots of homeless people roaming around and hang out by the underground parking. The lobby initially looks decent from a distance, but once inside it’s clear the carpets are filthy and the furniture is extremely worn. Everything feels dated and poorly maintained. The staff is unfriendly and full of excuses. The first night happy hour my kids dropped chips on the ground and three days later still there. The pool is so outdated, mold growing on the walls, and no towels provided. Had to leave my children unattended to get towels from the front desk which they didn’t have. Elevators were not always working properly and sometimes it was a long wait. No carts for luggage. Our room was another disappointment. It had stained carpets and no bedding for the couch bed. The front desk never answered my calls. Had no working hotel phone in room. Buttons were broken and missing. Didn’t have a hair dryer. Took two hours for a maid to find one. Was missing buttons, could see the wires and sparked when I turned it on. The room was advertised as having a balcony, but the balcony doors do not open. The bathroom was extremely small — the door hit the toilet when opened, and you had to close the door just to access the shower. My mother said it was like using a toddler toilet. There was also a noticeable smell in the room, likely because there’s no way to let in fresh air. The furniture looked very outdated and was stained. We had no coffee refills, the counter was cracked, and hair stuck to the ceiling. The exhaust fan was covered in dust but the a/c worked well. The bed was comfortable but there is a lot of direct highway noise throughout the night. Breakfast was a joke. I would call it the Hunger Games literally. So many people, food stations empty and not clean. While there is a made-to-order omelette station, the line was down the ramp and we never got one because they stop serving food promptly at 9:00. We only attempted breakfast once because it was that unappetizing and crowded. The complimentary hour was ok, but soda machines had no sprite or Fanta for my children the three nights we were there. We ordered a pizza the last night there. The pizza was dropped off at the front desk. The front desk claims they didn’t have it. We couldn’t find the pizza anywhere. The pizza place leaves a photo showing the pizza in the building. The pizza place also claims that other customers have had the same issue where employees steal the pizzas and say they were never delivered. I’m not sure what happened but the employees wouldn't help answer any questions or identify where the pizza was located in the photo. For three days we never really encountered anyone working there who was helpful or able to understand why we would be frustrated with all the issues of our stay. Overall, the property feels neglected: dirty floors, dying plants, outdated furniture, and poor upkeep throughout. I regret spending my spring break here wiht my family and will not ever return again. As a Hilton Honers member I cannot believe the Hilton would let this property decline like this. Disappointing!

Everything was clean, staff was great and breakfast was amazing!

The parking garage and elevator availability was not the best.

Ervin front desk had an earphone in didn’t talk loud enough and didn’t tell us anything except what was written down. (nothing about ice or laundry rooms or how to park or where to park). although he was busy. And please get the front desk some help lines formed so fast because there’s ONE person! I’d hate to work like that. Parking was very different under the hotel and honestly confusing and smelt like Marijuana over half the time elevators took forever with there being four but i’m sure only two were operating during breakfast which was peak time for active guest. I had to give my ID to use a cart for luggage ridiculous. There was “security” just a car parked in front from Sunday to Friday didn’t once see a “security guard”. There was no plastic silverware at the front either for a suite you would think it was provided and the lights flickered off and non and times
