Suburban Studios Cary - RDU Airport

We added a day to our vacation and our hotel couldn’t get us in. Not a problem we will stay a day and move. There was a reason this is the only hotel with availability. I wish i had read reviews. The problems we encountered have been the same since May 2023. First the side door wasn’t working and a guest (later found out it was the owner) let us in. The breakfast is just muffins. The kitchen was empty but the worse was dirty panties in the pullout and blood stained mattress. I have worked in hospitality for over 20 years. Tried calling extended stay services they are open m-f 8 to 5 Never have i seen such a horrible hotel. The only thing saving the hotel is the front desk agent who is sweet and amazing. Girl if you are reading this their are better places to work.

When me and my friend got into the lobby of the hotel as soon as we opened the door we smelled something that resembled cigarettes smoke, humidity or mold. It was the first thing we noticed upon entering the facility; same reaction we had when walking down the hallway to our room. Also, that stay included free breakfast which was non-existent at 6:47 AM. There was coffee that made the impossible of being used over and over only because of the clarity of the product; not worth the try to sip it. The morning front desk attendant offered no explanation for the coffee condition or for not having the advertise breakfast options available. The night before we asked the front desk clerk for a phone charge box and she looked for one and let us borrow it for few hours which we are grateful for.

Room was dirty. There were no trash cans. The refrigerator did not work. Shoes were found under the pull out bed. Mattress was badly stained. No sheets or blankets for the pull out bed. Trash and clothing tags on the floor. Sadly, would not recommend as place to stay.

The room was not acceptable. There were stains, which appeared to be blood ,on the bed mattress. I could not stay at this hotel. I expect not to be charged for this room.

When we first arrived, the entire second floor smelled like weed. Our room was not clean - there was even a broom poking out from under the bed showing the room had not been finished being cleaned. There was water leaking behind the toilet and bugs in the bathroom. The hotel is unsafe. We made sure to lock/close doors and windows before bed around 11. We were woken up to a noise by the window at 2:30 am and found the window was partially opened from the outside since the 2nd floor is low to the ground. We were scared thinking someone was trying to break in and left immediately. As we were leaving, the key card entry front door in the lobby was propped open to allow anyone inside. The worker behind the counter had no regard for us leaving in a hurry and did not question why we were screaming in the middle of the night.

Smelly

Our room was not cleaned. The only thing that appeared to be cleaned was the bed Linens. upon our arrival, the room smelled. Carpet was dirty. There were stains on the wall that was either ink Or blood? We found a completely full trash can in a cabinet. And there were bugs, gnats and roaches everywhere. The staff was friendly, though, and it did feel safe.. Just very nasty.

We got a room with 2 double beds and a pull out couch to be able to accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids. When we pulled out the couch it was stained and filthy. Because we had a late check in office was closed and nothing could be done. We currently have 3 kids in a double bed. My impression from when we booked was that the room would be more modern but things seem run down. It also smells like smoke outside even though there are tons of signs that say not to smoke. Just not what we expected.

Terrible is a compliment for this establishment. I love extended stay but from the time my family and I arrived the experience was God Awful. Lets start with how the staff had us waiting in the lobby for oh lets say 15 min. My husband had to go find her. It was late and after a long flight having my husband find the staff was not part of the plan. She finally shows up and we are checked on the 3rd floor with no elevator, two bags, and a 5 year old. As soon as we get to the stairs the smell of smoke assaults you. Now I'm instantly sick to my smoking but it's late so where am I going to go?? We press on, and reach our room. We open the the door and we have the warmest welcome from a family of roaches!!! The room wasn't clean but the beds were made. The floors were filthy so we kept our socks on. We had no was cloths only towels and anytime we needed something we had to go down three flights of stairs. For the price we paid I expected better from Extended Stay.

Need upgrade and pest free environment.
