Sete Cidades Lake Lodge

Spectacular location by the Sete Cidades lake. We could swim every day! Very close to most beautiful ocean beach and sunsets. Most kind and hospitable hosts who took time to give plenty of valuable information & a much appreciated welcome basket at arrival. Private parking. Such a beautiful interior/design with nature views and fireplace. Netflix and youtube available on TV for a nice movie night on a rainy evening. Very cosy and home feeling. Absolutely loved it and recommend it 1000%.

Beautiful scenic location

It was on one side of the island, far from the other side - but I loved staying there, just didn’t get to see the opposite side with only 4 nights on the island

The host was very helpful and attending to our all demands, even the last-minute requests that we made. The lodge was quite comfortable and has all the amenities needed.

The location was beautiful by the lake. The lodge was nicely decorated. The use of kayaks. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette. Email about checking in. The gardens around the lodge were nice. Quiet. The fresh hot bread to buy down the street.

The damp smell, it was very cold when we arrived and took awhile to heat up, we were looking forward to the nice welcome basket all the reviews talked about since everything was closed for food in the area and we never received one, it was very disappointing. Also, no coffee for the machine and had to wait until the grocery opened the next day to buy our own.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Lodge. The perfect accommodations and a stones throw from the lake, it was our favorite place we stayed in the island. Nestled into a lush garden landscape, we were completely enchanted walking through the property. The bungalows were so inviting, cozy and warmly decorated. The baskets of food and wine were a wonderful touch. We can’t wait to come back again!

The place was private and comfortable. They had bikes and a kayak that we could use when we wanted which was great for exploring

I loved the way the cabins are nestled in their own private gardens; the effect is magical! I absolutely loved waking up to the views of nature all around. The cabins themselves are uniquely designed, inside and out, and we were very comfortable in one for the duration of our stay. The proximity to both the lake and the sleepy town of Sete Cidades was ideal.

You live one with the gardens and the rooms are big and comfortable with everything you need to prepare or cook meals at home. You are really close to sites of Sete Cidades and you have bikes or a kayak at your disposal.
