Sete Cidades Lake Lodge

Absolutely stunning place, lovely location (very close to the lake), stylish interior design, very nice hosts.

Super cute pod style hotel. Very quiet and low-key setting. During the off-season be prepared to drive out of town for dining, or the kitchen is well stocked to stay in and cook. Good internet connection and the fireplace was amazing on a rainy day.

Location next to the lake,surrounded by nature, lodge was great with good facilities, living room was super comfy for relaxing, food basket was an excellent gesture from the host, free bikes

It’s an amazing place to get grounded and chill and rest. Absolutely astonishing location in the forest, with two chickens and a lovely cat❤️ There was a pretty comfortable kitchen where we cooked breakfast. A complimentary welcome bucket was with the most tasty dairy which I had tried in my life. In general, the place is new, clean and very aesthetic

Amazing space, and lovely welcoming gifts.

Fantastic location, right by the lake and surrounded by hills. Beautiful area for hiking etc. Our host was great, sent tips on the local area and left a welcome basket of local produce. We loved being able to drag the kayaks straight out onto the lake, and come back to our own house.

Limited restaurant options in the immediate town, and only one small supermarket (plus a lovely bakery). If staying for long, expect to drive to Ponta Delgada for groceries and/or eat outside the crater. The kitchen was nice (stove, sink, microwave, coffee machine and fridge) but a little small to fully self-cater.

We loved the location and the secluded feel of the lodge. It was a great base location for exploring the west end of the island. Having the kayaks and bikes available was wonderful! The welcome basket was beyond expectations! It had all sorts of fruit, wine, cheese, bread, espresso, milk, yogurt, granola, honey, etc., everything we needed for breakfasts and snacks. The cabin had huge closets, comfy and clean spaces to enjoy. We would definitely stay again.

There isn't anything we didn't like. I have one suggestion, since we hiked and swam a lot, a clothes line to hang dry would be great.

The service for the price is not good enough. You pay for the location. The kitchen tools were old and dirty , we couldn’t eat outside without cats jumping on the table. No cleaning during our 4 nights stay. It’s overpriced for the quality of service and equipment you get in house
