"I would stay again"

10.0

My wife and I are in a relocation transition because I made a change in my career. The staff has been super friendly and accommodating. It's quiet and it's literally like having your own apartment. I would definitely recommend this location to other professionals like myself. The general manager, Stephanie has been amazing with communication. It's been a nice place to call home while we are going through some pretty big life changes.

"One pillow."

2.0

We booked this hotel for one night for a concert and were given one pillow for the entire room. The toilet ran all night and at one point almost over flowed for no reason.the towels had dirt stains on them. We got over most of the problems cause it was a good price and we weren’t going to be in the room much, but ONE PILLOW! They told us they would get us another one and then when we got back that night they didn’t and the front desk was closed for the night. Would not book again just for that reason alone.

"Intro to public housings"

2.0

Dirty and zero maintenance on the property. Fixtures falling from the ceiling to mold in kitchen and bath. Cannot believe KS allows them to stay open. Stay somewhere else and save yourself time and frustration. Scary place.

"DON'T STAY HERE!"

2.0

Rooms are filthy, constantly had to clean my toddler's feet and face. Begged 4x for the carpets to be cleaned, offered 2x to do it myself. Never got done. Staff and their 'guests' that live there deal and openly use drugs in broad daylight. Tried to file a formal complaint against the area manager and they sent it straight to the guy I complained about. This led to an unprofessional 5 minute phone call filled with screaming & insults and orders to 'STFU' until I finally hung up on him. This company has NO interest in customer service, DO NOT STAY HERE!

"I suppose I got what I paid for?"

2.0

I took notes of my stay but haven't had time to post until now. I checked into the Crossland Kansas City Lenexa on May 26. I was in town by myself for one night and I thought I'd go cheap. As I approached the hotel I noticed a sign that said "New Management". Later, I wondered to myself what the "old management" must have been like. Here's my review, and if you don't read it all, just know that I saw two rooms in this hotel in two different buildings - so this experience should not be considered a fluke. I pulled on the reception door. It was locked at 3 in the afternoon. Once I was finally granted access I said my name and the kid behind the reception desk, who I'd guess at around 15 years old, found my booking and gave me a printout with multiple pages to initial and sign. I don't recall exactly what all the items were but one of them gave them permission to call authorities "in case you're playing loud music or we hear gunshots in your room" - I'm pretty sure that's an exact quote. Next, he said, "here's the Wi-fi code. We have premium Wi-fi but it doesn't really work." I had already decided in my head that there was no way I was connecting any of my devices to their network. I go my keys and proceeded to the room. It looked run down from the outside, but I'm generally ok with that as long as the rooms are clean. This one appeared that it had been cleaned...in 1987. It had trash and food wrappers all over the floor and bed and a big trash bag in the middle of the floor. There were lights on in the back of the room so if I'd kept the door open longer I may have seen something(someone) I didn't care to. I went back to reception and, with a puzzled look, the kid gave me keys to the second room. This room didn't have trash and I was certain it was empty upon entering, but it was far from clean. Stale, musty air met me as I entered - perhaps along with a hint of cigarette smoke. There was a sticky wet spot on the table and weird stains (I'm assuming already dry. I didn't investigate) on the carpet. I had been driving for three hours so I used the bathroom. The handle was broken. Then I took a look at the bed but didn't dare pull the bedspread off. I thought for a moment. I sat down at the desk and used my phone to book a Marriott, then promptly went back and checked out. The kid didn't ask why or didn't apologize for anything, which leads me to believe that this may not have been a rare occurrence. I lost the $40 that I paid Crossland plus the $120 I had to pay for the new Marriott room, but it was well worth the life lesson. Learn from my mistake friends. If you're traveling alone and and you can afford better, do it. It may not save you money but it will save you some dignity and self respect.

"Old but okay for a night"

6.0

This hotel looks very outdated, but it is okay for just a night. I don't think I would stay long term. The rooms appear to be clean, but my room had a strange old, musty smell. I didn't sit on the couch because it looked like it had stains. The rooms are large and have full kitchens if you are staying here long term. Logan was very friendly when he checked me in.

"Outdated but spacious"

8.0

Stayed here for a week. The place has seen better days but is clean and very roomy. Only complaints I have are not enough parking (had to park at a neighboring apartment complex) and no remotes for the TV's. It has a nice-sized kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Free wi-fi was nice too.

"Don't know why everyone is negative. "

8.0

I checked in June 12, and I am still here, and will probably be for a few months. I'm in room 148, and I am quite comfortable. Other than a few out dated amenities, this place is great. I mean, it's not the Hilton, but for a value extended stay, its perfect. No bed bugs, locks all work, keyless entry worked, washing and drying machines kick butt. How bout trying to be positive, and not just knocking this place because it's not perfect. I'm very happy with my experience so far.
