Location was great in terms of being centrally located in Monterossa al Mare. Terraces were great!

Location—Hard to find parking in Monterossa al Mare. Had written to ask about how to handle this situation, but we hadn’t heard back, which made it a bit complicated. Ultimately, all worked out by dropping off at entrance to Zone Limited in the old part of town and having driver drive around to new part of town to park by train station.

Location is right in the middle of the old town so very convenient for restaurants & there's one of the beaches not far away. Room was decorated tastefully & so long as the windows were closed it was very quiet. The upstairs deck & kitchen area are useful & being able to sit outside is nice apart from during summer when its very hot up there & probably unbearable for most. You're approx 650m from the train station, with a gentle uphill walk to the apartment.

Unfortunately my check in experience wasn't great, there are no instructions provided ahead of arrival & it appears that the host is not very responsive via email or WhatsApp or booking.com ..... as I could only communicate via those methods, I was a bit stranded when I arrived as there was no one to let me in. (Probably if you are able to pick up the phone & call him you would be fine). Whilst stairs are mentioned in the listing description, one does not realise just how many there are and also how very very steep they are. So getting your luggage up the stairs if you have a large suitcase is quite a mission (and I'm relatively fit!). And navigating oneself down them each day needed care. There were some maintenance issues with my room that also impacted my stay: the air conditioner was not working properly so given it was mid July the room was never cooler than about 24deg ... very hard to sleep in that. the TV did not connect to any of the satellite channels nor was tuned to any local TV channels. The shower drain was semi blocked so you were standing in a pool of water every time you showered. All these were mentioned to the host but were not able to be fixed during my 4 day stay. The host did try to make up for my lesser check in experience by donating to me a bottle of wine which was very kind & thoughtful It would be great if the upstairs area had a fan or working air conditioner as it was just too hot to use it during summer FYI - prior reviews have mentioned "breakfast", do note that this listing does not provide an included breakfast any longer.

Very cute apartment with adorable balcony. Great location.

The stairs are legit treacherous. If you plan to bring rolling suitcases, I’d pass on this property as it was scary going up and down without luggage. Also, if you are expecting AC like they have in the states, you will be disappointed. It was only a small fan and couldn’t keep up with the heat. It was off when we arrived so the room took forever to “cool” down.

Fantastic location in the middle of town. Cafes and shops all a short stroll. A two minute walk to the beach.

The steps to get to the room would not suit elderly of less mobile people. Fine for us, but be wary.

Loved the village and restaurant was great. Beach beautiful! Great view from top..

No wine 3 flights of stairs to carry luggage Beds were very uncomfortable

Took a while to find the place. Had to ask nearby people. Owner came quickly when we called him. Loved the two shared balconies. Owner has a nice restaurant nearby that we went to on several occasions.

Steep, narrow, dark stairs were a difficulty for us, especially moving our cases up 3-4 stories.

Brilliant location.

The stairs are very, vet steep. Ian a supper fit and struggled with cases.
