Extended Stay America Select Suites - Chicago - Rolling Meadows

I made reservation weeks in advance and requested the first floor. I also mentioned that I have a pet that I was bringing along and wanted to know if I would be able to have him with me. I spoke with the manager, Kathy who explained that I would only be able to stay on the first floor and that I would have to take the stairs to an from because dogs are not allowed on the elevators. I have a heart condition that restricts me from doing strenuous activities like climb the stairs. The receptionist stated that the manager canceled my reservation because she wasn't able to accommodate my stay. What a poor excuse for hospitality. Very rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, I would never return to that location again.

As a contract nurse, I came to Chicago to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The personnel and facility of ESA in Rolling Meadows were great. All preventative efforts were taken to protect guests -- staff wore masks and I saw them frequently cleaning door handles, counter surfaces, laundry machines, etc. My room was immaculate when I "moved in", and every week it was cleaned to the same standard by the environmental services people. Trash bins were emptied regularly. Though I have to say the pillows were a little....firm....the bed was comfy. And the motel is QUIET. Primarily, everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional. Got a problem? Need an item? Want directions to a store or restaurant? They'll do their best to help you. If you need extended stay services, stay here. You'll be glad you did.

Clean and QUIET property with excellent staff and manager - all nestled next to a forest preserve with walking and bike paths! Fully equipped kitchen - except oven - with several groceries stores, restaurants and the Woodfield Mall within a mile. This hotel is VERY child and pet friendly; and, safe for ladies travelling solo.

I had an very pleasant stay. The staff was amazing and the rooms were extremely clean. The hotel is located minutes from a Walmart and a mall. Mostly it’s the staff the made the stay so enjoyable, very friendly staff. Whether travel or an extended stay I would highly recommend this location!

Parking lot was not safe to walk on snow. Towel holder fell off the wall as I reached for a towel. It was evident it had been poorly repaired various times before. AC/Heating unit was very loud and not responding to commands. Bed sheets rough and stiff like sandpaper. There were no disposable cups in the washroom. I've stayed numerous times at other hotels of this chain and have never had any issues. This location leaves alot to be desired and I will never use again.

Hotel is very basic and the sleep quality is good. Has parking available just outside the hotel. The breakfast is dismal and just about nothing is available, except muffins, Quaker Oat packets, energy bars and coffee kept at a table opposite the reception. The wifi quality is ok but surely not high speed.

Extended Stay America is in Rolling Meadows. What’s super cool about this place is that you are in the suburbs of Chicago where there are numerous tall buildings; big buildings! And yet there are forest preserves all around with rolling meadows and parcels of woods. It is so wonderful to be near great places to eat and shop and still be a part of nature. As for Extended Stay, well, they are pretty awesome too what with the fabulous full sized refrigerator, stove, counter, microwave, and table that can also serve as a work station. Of course there is a television, super comfy chairs to sink back into, a nice firm bed… and lets not forget a clean roomy bathroom – there is even an ironing board. Why, you could actually live there; and why not? Imagine, not having to do any cleaning, pay for heating bills, cooling, water, or electrical bills. And even the room taxes paid monthly can be used each month toward the next month’s stay. Yes, I know it sounds too good to believe but that’s what the desk clerk told me. But wait, there’s more. This place is pet friendly with a fee of $25.00 per day or $150.00 per month. What about breakfast? Well the coffee is great and there’s a choice of muffins or instant oatmeal to start your day off right. Extended Stay America is a great place, stay as long as you like.
