Driftwood B&B

Beautiful position with great views. The girls who were employed to wait on the tables at breakfast, clean the rooms and man reception were great - friendly and helpful. Good breakfasts.

Soulless feel about the property. It’s a b&b not a hotel. More use could be made of the beautiful views with comfortable chairs on the balcony and in the garden. No one on reception in the evenings. You let yourself in with a code and find your room key yourself. No facilities nearby for food or drink. You need a car. Expensive for what it is.

De locatie is prachtig en het uitzicht is ook schitterend!

Het hotel is verouderd en is toe aan renovatie, het tapijt in de kamer was oud en lag los, de WC trok niet goed door, de kamer was klein.

Weak shower, only one bathroom light working, bins not emptied in rooms.

The location was breath taking the hotel has had new owner so at present don’t offer evening meals but we found great pub 5 min drive away Plume of Feathers - great food. We noticed in areas was looking tired & some of decking & hand rails need replacing but guess work in progress

Our room was on ground floor once you open the French Doors onto your own patio you realise how close you are to your neighbour as only divided by a screen fencing partition

Location was amazing, with good access to coast path and Portscatho

It was very poorly maintained, the bedding didnt feel clean and the path to the beach is very overgrown and not well looked after

Superb location with short walk to a lovely beat. Fantastic views.

Driftwood needs a lot of attention to bring it up to top class standards. The room had broken slats on the windows and needed some TLC on general paintwork outside and in. Grounds need paths weeded and generally a good tidy up. Path to beach was nearly grown over but a nice route to beach. The balustrade around the decking was covered in bird droppings that need cleaned off. The main building has dead insects in many areas and needs a good general clean. Breakfast menu had no poached eggs or pancakes because there was no gas for top burners so the menu as advertised wasn't available. For the money paid this isn't good enough.

Good views and pleasant location, albeit away from any town (7 minute drive to Portscatho)

Staff was minimal and absent after 5pm. Our rooms were only cleaned and done up once in four days. There is no restaurant or even a bar in the hotel.

Disappointing not to provide evening meals anymore although good eating places at Portscatho.I had not studied the small print sufficiently and was surprised to find it was basically a B&B establishment that you entered by key pad and code. The views were breathtaking though.....

Alles sehr gut! Nur zum Abendessen/ Einkaufen muss man mit dem Auto mindestens 2 bis 5km fahren, d.h. ohne Auto nur für passionierte Wanderer
