Brown Rigg was the absolute perfect place for what I needed. Having been let down by the cleanliness of the original accommodation I had booked elsewhere in Bellingham, Sue, Alastair and their lovely son hosted me at very short notice at around 9pm. Every interaction was so warm, and I really enjoyed learning a little bit of the history of the place as I was being shown to my room. There were clear instructions both verbally and in the room about how to use the facilities. Everything I needed was provided, with lovely touches like a specific wash cloth for make up removal, and a heat plate for hair things really making a difference. Being able to have a complimentary cup of tea and cookie after a stressful few hours really brought my trip to Bellingham back to what I was hoping. I really can’t thank you all enough.
