Cedar House Boutique B&B

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Cedar House Boutique B&B! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The room was comfortable, and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect cozy atmosphere. Breakfast each morning was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax and truly enjoy the weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place.

The accodation was awful it looked like a shed, the bath plug was broken, mold on the curtain blocking the window, they had to move us, Nothing like the pictures, definitely not worth the money we paid and would never recommend this place, it absolutely ruined our holiday, the hot tub steps were very wobbly to get into the hot tub and were very dangerous, there is definitely a health and safety issue. We were moved to another room which we thought would be in the main hotel, but it was not, again it was a separate out building not in the main hotel, it was very cold, the staff had to give us a heater and the shower was dangerous, it ran hot to cold very hard to work operate. We would never go back, we want A Full Refund of the money as this B & B is not fit for purpose and is not value for money.

The accommodation, it ruined our holiday accommodation very poor.

I usually don’t leave a negative feedback but I was surprised about good reviews and our friend’s feedback about this property. This was a gift to our friends and this is what they had to say about it.

Me and my partner stayed here on 14th August just wanted to leave my honest thoughts of this place. The good points, beautiful large gardens and the location is great but unfortunately the place doesn't look like pictures online. The B&B looks extremely run down inside and out and really needs a big refurbishment. Overall it could be an amazing B&B but feels like it's been forgotten.

The breakfast was well cooked

The description of the location and facilities were extremely misleading. The fully accessible luxurious suite with separate bedroom, actually was a narrow hut in the garden, with no separate bedroom . Claimed to be fully accessible but it was Not accessible as you had two deep steps up to the entrance. That's after walking across the wet grass as there was no path across the garden from the carpark. There was no dressing table, no hairdryer, no ironing facilities. No Dorset view, (these were promoted by the description) The Rose garden swimming pool sounds great , there was one Rose bush and the pool was more like a plunge pool being around 15 ft long . The Jacuzzi was a £10 extra. Whilst laying in bed you could listen to the sound of the main line train and dual carriageway both a few hundred yards away or enjoy the delights of the active dilapidated farm and cows right next door.. Whilst the breakfast waiting staff were English the claim of full English speaking staff also misleading as we were greeted by a charming lady however she could hardly speak/ comprehened a word of English which meant we missed out on having our pre paid breakfast one morning. Most of the house seen in the promotional pictures was private use only with only access to the bedrooms and the breakfast room.

Dorota cooked us delicious breakfasts and was a real sweety.

Overpriced. Main house very quirky 😬 Musty damp smell in our accommodation. Uncomfortable beds. Lumpy pillows. Tired, unkempt decking area. Breakfast waiting staff smelt very strongly of cigarettes when serving our breakfast (& went for cigarette break right outside the dining room). Definitely not our usual standard of accommodation and would not revisit.

Our stay was wonderful, we like that we were secluded and had a private terrace. Breakfast was fabulous and a good variety. The pool and hot tub were great to chill out in for the afternoon with the sun shining. Resident cat Roger was a joy when he came to see us on our first morning.

Unfortunately, the WiFi in our room did not work, we advised staff but no one got back to us about this. There were some older windows in our room which allowed a large amount of noise in. Another guest arrived back at the property at 1:30am and the noise of their car and foot steps woke us. These windows are not very secure.
