Cedar House Boutique B&B

Die Lage nahe dem Meer war sehr schön und auf unserer Rundreise durch England hat der Ort sehr gut gepasst. Das Frühstück war lecker und die Angestellten waren sehr nett und sind auf spezielle Wünsche (Omelett, Spiegeleier) eingegangen.

Die Unterkunft hatte ihre guten Tage schon sehr lange hinter sich. Wir waren in der Half-Moon Lodge untergebracht, aber das war nicht mehr als ein Bretterverschlag. Es gab keine Dusche und meine Mann ist in der Badewanne sogar gestürzt, da sie mittelmäßig geschützt war. Bei uns waren sehr hohe Temperaturen bei Anreise. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass der kleine Tischventilator (einzige Kühlmöglichkeit) auch noch defekt war. Außerdem roch es draußen immer nach totem Tier. Entweder das kam von der großen Müllhalde direkt neben dem Pavillon oder vom Bauernhof nebenan. Alles in allem war der Preis maßlos überzogen und ich würde die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen.

An amazing stay in a charming old house! Full of character and exactly as shown in the pictures. The owner and staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for my daughter and I. We spent most of the time in the heated pool and hot tub in the beautiful grounds. We visited the owners restaurant called The Dome in Christchurch, which was amazing and we loved the delicious food. We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to a week long holiday. Thank you so much, Cedar House!!! We will be back!

I honestly can't find fault.

De tuin was mooi. Maar hier en daar slordig en niet onderhouden zoals het terras, ligzetels, ...

Vergane glorie, de tijd is er stil blijven staan. Kamers waren niet netjes gepoetst, op het terras lagen nog sigarettenpeuken en veel spinnenwebben in de hoeken. Het ontbijt krijgt de titel van continentaal, maar voldoet daar zeker niet aan, ontbijt was heel beperkt. De eitjes en pannenkoeken waren vers en wel lekker. Dit zou er prachtige B&B kunnen zijn maar mist de aandacht die het verdient.

Lovely location, and the grounds looked lovely.

The hot tub was cold and the sauna was an extra cost. We booked this accommodation for the facilities, which was a disappointment. The curtains around the room are very thin so we were woken with the sun rise.

Nice Location, Good Breakirty in placesfast, lovely gardens and facilities, Room a little tired, little dirty in places, paint on glass in doors, nice and pleasant stay, Room just lacking a little for the money paid. :) would possible stay again with family or friends for different rates :)

Where do I start , a very odd set up , the main house itself is very dated , with loads of antique furniture. The pics of the pool on the website are very misleading, it’s more like a large bath and definitely not heated , and the few plastic sunbeds and cushions need replacing immediately. We stayed in room 3 , a pod on the back , and it was very nice , with lovely decking to enjoy the nature and quiet surroundings. The breakfast and the staff were very nice . We really enjoyed it , but with a bit more care and attention to detail it could be absolutely beautiful . Someone needs to spend some money on it , and make it a glamping / camping paradise, with a hired out venue for weddings/ parties etc in the main house

The hot tub was broken , no fridge in our room , you had to use a communal one in the garden
