Hampton Inn West Des Moines Lake Drive

Enjoyed it very much had good quality and variety of what I eat. For what ever reason the beds they have or my favorite when traveling. Great sleep. Even though there is some wear on the facility, can't always be shiny and new, the rooms are clean, the common areas are tidy and everything works. Shows pride in the work they do and I much appreciate the housekeeping, front desk and maintenance staff for what they do every day to make my visit enjoyable, peaceful and stress free. I am Thankful , Appreciative, and Grateful for Hampton Inn's Staff. Hampton Inn corporate the people you employee are your greatest asset please appreciate them. Pam at the front desk is truly a friendly and upbeat person to work with.

The work out room tread mill key needs some TLC. The magnet in the key was not glued in and I did find the magnet and the treadmill itself worked well.

It has been a while since we stayed at a Hampton and this hotel didn't disappoint. It is in a convenient location so if you are in town on business this is a very good location. Some of the reviews did point out some of the rooms were dark in regards to lighting and I do agree but it wasn't too bad. The breakfast was very good. Cheese omlettes, oatmeal, waffle maker and something I never saw this in a hotel before but there were to go bags with a waffle and or bagel. For the business person on the go that would be fantastic. A great idea.

I soecifically adked to have a bath tub and was assured I would. The room indeed had a tub but it was unuseable as the drain stopper wasccorroded out such that the flange would not, could not seal the tub, so was worthless for a bath. Obviously I couldnt change rooms as I bathe in the mornings and had to leave for my appointment. I dont know how they could miss a nonfunctioining drain (I even tried stuffing it with cloths to no avail as they wouldnt hold) but I made sure to i form them when I checked out.

Love the cozy beds and very friendly staff. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were a welcome treat!

The hotel is in a good location and the price was very reasonable. The room itself was okay, though it felt quite dark. The bathroom was painfully small with little to no counter space, which made it inconvenient to use. While the room seemed fairly clean overall, I was disappointed to find a large stain on the mattress. The free breakfast was a positive — it was hot and had good options. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the noise. A full sports team checked in during my stay, and they were placed not only across from my room, but all around my room, including both rooms next door. From the moment they arrived, kids were running in the halls, screaming, and knocking on doors. On top of that, the rooms where the sports teams were staying were left open for hours with people talking loudly and playing music. Once all the kids finally settled down, the parents were up talking loudly and slamming doors late into the night. Road noise was also fairly loud (thankfully I had a white noise machine). While the price and location were good, the overall experience was disappointing. With so many other hotel options in the area, I would choose to stay elsewhere next time.

This hotel was amazing! We were able to check in 5 hours early, which was such a blessing as I was having eye surgery, at a local facility. The reason for our stay was for medical. I was so comforted being able to check in early and get settled and calm before my surgery. The front desk lady was super friendly and polite, and put my mind at ease. The rest and sleep I got after my surgery was ideal. The hotel was quiet and I was at peace. The morning breakfast buffet was. incredible! I've never seen such a spread! The food was all well-prepared, fresh and the facilities were immaculately clean! I'm already planning to stay here on my second surgery in a couple of months! I love this Hampton Inn!
