Comfort Inn Dunmore - Scranton East

Upon arrival, I was told my room was not available. I have still not received a reply from them after requesting a refund.

The front desk personnel were wonderful and great employees for your operation. The room needs a bid mor cleaning in the bathroom especially the mold and mildew on the tub. Many of the fixtures are loose and need attention by the engineering/maintenence department. the bathtub needs a mat or something that makes it non sliip. Your choice of light switches is bad. Your complimentary breakfast needs serious work, even the Days Inn and Motel 6 have you beat on this point. I must say that the height of the bed is unique but comfortable, the maids should make shure that the clocks are set correctly., a print out of what the stations are on the TV is called for. The Irons are nice but Maids should make sure that they are empty of water lease over time they cause mildew and corrosion in their tanks. One of the lamps in my room has a burnt out light bulb or the lamp itself is defective. You should have a plug for charging your phone or lap top, especially for guests who forget their adapters. The shower head is loose as is its mounting, the pipe is loose in the wall. The shower head is substandard. Sorry for my being so specific byt after 48 years in opening hotel throughout the USA, I notice things. Once again your Staff were wonderful at check in and check out.

Mold in the bathroom and shower curtain and looks like mouse poop in bathroom

It was ok for the price, carpet very dated, room had a musky smell. Staff was friendly, plenty of parking. Convenient to the highway and places to eat with in walking distance

BATHROOM: The tub was not flat it was "triangular. "...making it hard to stand, the toilet seat was loose, the shower head was not attached to the wall, no water pressure. the worst part was that the sink was not even IN the bathroom. it was out in the room next to the door where you enter the hotel room. so if you're standing at the sink and someone needs to come in, you have to move. if they don't knock, they might hit you! 🤦‍♀️ BEDROOM: Beds were uncomfortable...5 days later, my back still hurts. there was only one outlet on the nightstand. the next closest outlet did not even work..so the largest light didn't work. I had to plug my cpap in across the room (luckily, my cord is long). and hoped i didn't trip over it in the middle of the night. the ac made an annoying sound off and on all night. the fan didn't stay "on" even though I set it to stay on. The breakfast only had cereal, waffles, and toast. and the stupid juice was in snack cups. oh, and the coffee was horrible. I understand they are renovating. But geez!!!! maybe wait til the reno is done

Repetitive checkin. Texted me before checkin saying to fill out some steps like payment and ID to speed the process, but when I got to the hotel they asked for all the same items so it was a waste of time. They also wouldn't just charge my debit card, honestly so annoying when you NEED a credit card for incidentals...otherwise the bed was comfy and the shower was very hot and good pressure. Clealiness wise, definitely some stray hairs and stains on the towels but overall average.
