Spotlessly clean, well appointed, beautiful decorations in each room, a very high standard of accommodation

Nothing, everything was lovely Couldn’t find the oven gloves ?? Other than that everything needed was there

Lovely location in a beautiful village. Nice room. Warm welcome. Some great staff

Breakfast - cooked breakfast is excellent but the buffet part (cereals, yoghurt, fruit, etc) is literally a few items and completely sub-standard for this price. The guy serving on his own was doing a great job though. Bar - we returned before closing time and were walking towards our room when we were sternly told the bar was shut. Ridiculous way to treat guests. They should retrain this young woman to quietly ask if you are staying and need anything from the bar.

Warm welcome. Rooms not overly large, but very well appointed, decent sized bathroom, all requirements for a few nights stay, comfortable beds and linen. Downstairs bar and restaurant area spacious and staffed by friendly, cheerful and helpful people. Food good with lots of choice. Outside courtyard plenty of room and good seating.

Extremely disappointed with management on Sunday/Monday. Locked out of building on Sunday early evening, not having been told the building would be closed. I expected a more professional response to complaint and felt bullied. He did not approach us when we arrived for b’fast which I would have expected and full of apologies - I had to approach him and made me feel this was not a big deal to him. Constantly interrupted, without empathy nor things he felt would need to change after our experience. (Even mentioned Booking .com would have listed closing times when I booked and had been like this for 20 yrs- NOT helpful) No one responded to our phone calls. V stressful especially when he lost his temper. Serendipitous we found someone in village to help and he came round to give us our keys . Arrival on Friday with warm greetings exceptionally helpful and professional with full instructions. He couldnt have been more welcoming. Pity

Excellent breakfast and very comfy room

Quirky (mind your head) nice room and excellent and meal the evening we stayed there. Pleasant garden for early evening drinks. Good location for the town and for Petworth House. Good parking in a place where it is often an issue.

Breakfast wasn't bad but not as good as some places where we have stayed. At least the ingredients were all locally sourced.

Shame there wasnt more staff. Had to wait for our booking to eat but we were sitting at a free table where we perhaps could have been served. Not the staff fault as it was explained it was the festival but there were loads of empty tables.
