l didn’t love my room set up (the TV was way too far from the bed for me and I don’t have the best vision) but the lobby was super nice. I think what made this hotel was working with Frankie, Valerie and Christine. They all went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was wonderful and the Barnes is truly lucky to have them on their staff. On the day of checkout, I had parked my car in a loading zone and it got a little bit sketchy… Frankie walked me out to my car and made sure I got out safely. 100% was not his job and just goes a show how above and beyond they really do treat their guests. they also have cappuccino it’s it’s in the lobby!!

We just arrived in San Francisco and are staying at the Barnes Hotel,"Union Square San Francisco, CA, US", and our first experience here was absolutely wonderful thanks to our server, Yasmine. We had breakfast à la carte this morning, and she was incredibly attentive, warm, and professional from start to finish. She made us feel welcomed right away and checked on us often without being intrusive. Her positive energy truly set the tone for our stay. The food was also great. I had the BLT potatoes, and my sister had the breakfast sandwich — both dishes were hot, fresh, and flavorful. Nothing felt rushed at all, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Outstanding service and a great start to our stay. Thank you, Yasmine! Outstanding service—thank you, Yasmine!

When checking in I was greeted by both, Frankie and Carmen. They were very welcoming, kind, and made sure I was all set. Upon me mentioning that it was my first time staying in this area they were very informative about the best places to dine at.

I just wanted to shout out the great staff at this hotel. I stayed for two nights and Frankie took care of me throughout. He upgraded my room before I even got there and when it turned out there had to be a room change due to extra cleaning required of said room, he emailed me personally to give me a reason why my room had changed and assure me that my new room was also an upgrade. His warmth, humor and professionalism were very much appreciated! The hotel itself is an updated older hotel with many of the expected quirks. But the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the location is great. Looking forward to staying here the next time I’m in San Francisco!

Located in the heart of the city, this hotel exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who were respectful, kind, and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Frankie and Carmen, both were extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provided excellent recommendations. From calling ahead to inquire about parking to checking into my room, the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning on my next visit to San Francisco.
