Truly excellent hotel with super friendly and helpful team and beautiful rooms. Food in Westham tavern was excellent. It is a pub and informal so if you want something a little more formal then the Tobacco Company restaurant across the street is a great choice. If you want something less formal than the tavern there’s also a Chick Fil-A (a tradition for us whenever we visit the South) in the complex. Overall a great choice and convenient for the Capitol, the Canal Walk and VCU Medical Center.

The parking was difficult and expensive.
USUSUSHotel texted me who my advisor was prior to arrival. The person they gave me was out of office for the next two weeks. That doesn’thelp. I then found someone on the front staff and sent them an email. Email was never answered. I got a text from another managerand passed on my specific request for my room and my concerns. Was told they would all be addressed and would be waiting in my room. I arrived and nothing had been done. I requested an upgraded room with a Riverview, was given a standard room with a view of the parking lot. The sink in my room didn’t function properly and the shower was pathetic. I’m paying over $400 a night for a room that felt like a best western or Motel 6. The photo is what you see from a room after my room was upgraded to a historic view of downtown Richmond and the James River. Looks like a parking garage to me.
Great hotel! Staff is very courteous and helpful. Want to give a special shout out to Sean running the hotel shuttle service. He went out of his way and helped me out tremendously when I had vehicle troubles.
