Claridge House Chicago, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

I booked a stay here on 11/27 due to bad weather and travel delays, and the service trying to check in was terrible. The woman working at the front desk refused to let me check in because I had recently changed my last name due to marriage and the last name on my license did not match my Hilton account. I offered to show her photos of my birth certificate and marriage license but she said there was nothing she could do. It was past midnight and my family was exhausted so I then asked her if I could just make a new reservation and she was unable to book me a room and instead told me to make another booking on my phone in front of her. All in all it took a half an hour just to get in and she was rude and unhelpful every step of the way.

Prachtige rustige lokatie en het hele centrum is gemakkelijk te bereiken te voet of met de bus en de metro. Het personeel was super. Het bed was zeer goed. Het was een knusse kamer met een zeer mooi uitzicht.

De bergruimte was te klein voor een verblijf van 9 nachten voor twee personen. Doch door onze vindingrijkheid was het te doen.

Location is remarkable - just far enough to have a short walk in to the noise of the city - love love e love the location can head into second city or into the bustle of downtown very easy and still get quiet sleep time

front desk is never overly friendly - this was our 4th or 5th stay its always the same no real smiles no overly pleasant anything just check in check out - we have tried every time to get a drink at the bar and its always not staffed or they are buried with only 4 people sitting at bar - this last time we waiting 15/20 mins no one even acknowledged us - it was evident we needed serviced - so we left - its always room on room off once its great the other time its ok - again its the location that best suits us

Recently added to the Hilton group's hotel platform, Claridge House gives HHonors loyalists the perfect spot to stay in the Gold Coast / Old Town area. Trevor at the front desk was very kind when I arrived before the standard check-in time. He moved me to room 809 because it was ready, which is a King Deluxe. My room was above average sized and some key features were overhead lighting, Keurig coffee maker, small fridge, and windows that opened slightly to let in some fresh air. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the view was only of the building next door. The Division Street dive bars are steps away and there is a Walgreens to stock up on waters, etc for your stay. Just a little further walk and you're in the Viagra Triangle area that includes fine dining and upscale shopping. Also nearby is the Old Town neighborhood that houses comedy clubs, restaurants/bars, boutique shopping. I will definitely stay at Claridge House again!

The coffee credit, the water bottles, the clean sheets and towels. The shower was also fantastic!

The carpets in the room could have been a bit cleaner.
