Villa 1900

This is a near-perfect, very well-maintained accommodation. It's convenient to arrive by car and park in the spacious, enclosed courtyard. A very warm welcome from the hostess, who does everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We had a quadruple room with two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen/sitting area—you could easily call it an apartment. Except for one room, it had plenty of natural light, comfortable beds, and ample storage space. Simple yet stylish furnishings. A delicious and fairly extensive breakfast is served in a quiet, bright room. The location is excellent, next to the park, and within walking distance of the town center, the train station, and the sea. A brisk but pleasant walk to Portofino is highly recommended. Santa Margherita Ligure is a very nice place to spend a few days and enjoy the many delicious restaurants, to take the train to the Cinque Terre, or to take one of the boats to the surrounding towns.

This accommodation could have easily scored a 10, except for a few minor drawbacks. The air conditioning in one of the rooms was a bit loud and too cold (we asked to turn it off at night). The cleaning of the bathroom floors during our stay could have been a bit better, although I understand that this is due to my traveling companions and their lush hair... (that's a challenge at home too...). Mind you, that was the only minor complaint, as everything else was spotless. It would have been nice if you could also have breakfast outside. There's certainly enough space, though perhaps not for all guests.

Some noise most nights from bin lorries. Not a massive problem but did disrupt sleep a little.

The staff and Samatha were super helpful, very friendly. We got a great ground floor room and the extra sofa bed was in a separate area with a kitchenette. The staff very quickly provided us with a clothes iron when we needed it. Over all very comfortable stay with fabulous location ! We just wished that there was an electric kettle in the room to boil water for tea and heat pack.
