Location is great. Within walking distance to downtown Stamford and all the bars/restaurants, and mall. Price was low compared to other properties located close by.

This is our second stay here in 8 months. I remember it being a pleasant stay the first time, no complaints. This time: 3 out of 4 of the showers we took were cold; our sink did not drain well- half full of water after use/brushing teeth; the coffee maker kept shutting off when trying to make a cup of coffee; there was a room air freshener or room spray they used which was very pungent. The bed was comfortable, the pillows not so much. The 'free' coffee in the lobby was only from 6-8am. After that it was $4.70 for a cup of coffee made with a pod. Now days most hotels offer free breakfast, or at the very least free coffee all day. I let the front desk person know about these issues when we checked out and she did comp us the parking fees.

Location, staff, comfortable bed

The patchwork. Property is dated, you can see where the carpet was damaged and it was patched and you could see where the walls were also patched. The hallway carpet needs to replaced.

Gorgeous and historic location in Nob Hill. Rooms were tidy, clean, and well-kept. Staff was friendly and nice. The building is beautiful.

It's in a very hilly location, which makes it hard to simply "walk around" or drive around just because it can be difficult. The closest public transport method is the cable car, which isn't exactly cheap! The elevators were a little old. I had experiences with the elevators skipping my stop altogether or bypassing the lobby completely even though I pressed the correct buttons. Also, the toilet in the bathroom was very outdate and so hard to flush. You really had to press and hold DOWN on the flusher.
