The Core Albergue

I can't describe how much I like this place, the owner is the most incredible person, I have some problems in Korea and he helped me a lot, he was nice and tried to help me with everything. I will never forget this, and get place was clean and will all the facilities, with a place to stay and a kitchen if you want to cook something, I really recommend this place

lower bunkbed is kinda low, but bed is very comfortable

-it was close to the station (also few stations away from Seoul station on Line1) -you can go to Yeouido Park + KBS Music Bank if your purpose of visit is kpop related (only three stations away on Line 9)

The storage space was good, you get a locker with a key and plenty of space to store other things. The staff was also friendly but I didn't see them except for check-in and check-out.

My stay here was not great. My main issue was that it was dirty, my bed had dust and and a few strands of another person's hair on the sheets, in between the mattress and the wall was some random things and a lot of dust. The hostel itself wasn't super tidy, and there were very few security measures from stopping anyone from just walking in (cctv cams and nothing else). They asked for a large deposit of 50.000 won, which I thought was quite substantial since I paid a fraction of that price (usually 10.000 krw) in other hostels in Seoul. Overall, I guess it's okay for a night or two, if like me you decided to book a hostel too late and were left with few options.

Location was great

The host been amazingly helpful and understanding. My late arrival was not planned but Byron stayed up and in touch while I make my way to the hostel. Location is great,just by the subway station which is direct connection to Seoul Station. Area is nice and peaceful

The owner is nice and the bad was confortable. There is a big locker in the room to fit a big bag and curtains for privacy in the bed. The owner kindly offered a bottle of water. The wifi works well. There is also a fridge in the bedroom, a kitchen and and a living room available. The bus, and metro stations are only a few step away (5-ish minutes).

The rooms are underground so it was a bit cold and gloomy. The kitchen was a bit impraticable because overcrowded with bags full of stuff. The water dispenser didn't work so there was no drinkable water. The toilet flush made ear piercing noises. There was things from previous customer(s) on the side of the bed including an old pair of underwear.

The room was small but had everything you need. The wifi was really good and the facilities in the shared kitchen were good too. The staff were really helpful on arrival and explained everything you needed to know.

Had to buy my own rubbish bags (can't just use any bag because of how the collection works in Korea).
