Garnet Inn & Suites, Morehead City near Atlantic Beach

Not to much.

The pictures shown on the site r not this hotel, except for the bed comforter. This really wasn’t a clean experience. I realize the price is low but we have been to cheap hotels before and it didn’t feel this bad. They state will charge u a damage deposit so we took photos before and after. When we left I told them how do we prove all the issues were there before us. They stated they know the owners won’t invest anything into property. Breakfast was ok and coffee was gross

Bed is super comfy.

Linens were stained. Some towels appeared to have mold. Room was not properly cleaned. Mold visible on hair dryer cord. Dirt viable on outlet on bedside tables. Extremely dusty on shelving for hangers near the bathroom. Brown stain on chair in corner of room.

We didn’t like anything, and we are typically optimistic. It was so dirty. We left after showering. The door wouldn’t even lock, so I think people likely sneak in there and sleep and leave. The bedding was crumpled.

The lady at the front desk was nice and pleasant. After 2 hours of staying there, I told her we had an emergency and needed to leave. That was partly true but mostly we just couldn’t stay. Not sanitary. And even if someone tried to clean it, there are stains, rust, stains on the walls, dark spots in ceilings. The handle at the sink kept flying off. The bath mat had black mold. Things need to be thrown away and repaired/painted. $100/hr for showers. We wore water shoes in the shower.

Well located for my needs. Room was clean and spacious, attractively furnished nd the bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful, bringing me the extra pillows I need for sleeping propped up.

Nothing, really. The property is an older one, but has been reasonably, kept up.
