Proximity to the airport

There was something that just felt off. Parking was difficult. We weren’t greeted when we’d come in. When we showed up we felt like we were an inconvenience to the person at the desk. No smile no have a nice stay. The girl at the desk on Sunday was very nice and let us extend our checkout one hour longer. The vending machine charged me 7 times for 3 drinks.

We had book 2 nights. The second morning we went for a walk and fell 100' and ended up in the emergency room for 6 hours and then had to leave to return to Michigan due to my injuries. We checked out and told the desk we did not need the room and she said she could not cancel for a refund that it was up to Booking.com

"Serious ADA service dog violations!!"

TERRIBLE experience! I missed my flight connection and was rebooked for the next day at 12pm, so I needed a place for the night. I made the huge mistake of booking this hotel. The front desk staff was EXTREMELY rude and impatient. Even with a confirmed reservation, I was refused a stay because I had my dog with me. I explained that my dog is a service animal, but the receptionist demanded "proof." She repeatedly interrupted me and refused to listen when I tried to explain the ADA regulations regarding service animals. She called the manager, but they seemed just as ignorant of federal law as the staff. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (28 CFR § 36.302(c)), businesses cannot demand "proof" or documentation for a service animal. They are only permitted to ask if the dog is required because of a disability and what task it performs. Even after I explained the service my dog provides, they still refused me a room probably because my disability is not visible. Being turned away in the middle of a travel delay was dehumanizing and illegal. This property needs immediate ADA training. I will be following up with a formal complaint to Choice Hotels Corporate.
