DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Bayside

Hotel is at excellent location.

Site plan was very confusing with no clear signs. Room was Small and smelling moldy. They felt like mix of Motel and Hotel. 2 large building surrounded by 2 Motel buildings. We were in Motel building that wasnt clean. There was no dustbin in restroom.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating for us. It was our first time in San Diego and we definitely want to come back. The pool, gym, and jacuzzi were all great and our room was clean and comfortable.

The room location was in view of the pool n hot tub. Very nice. The food was very good. The staff was very friendly.

The room was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff was super accommodating when we had to arrive a day late. Very welcome each time we left and came back. Had two issues with our first room in building #2 upon arrival, and they moved us right away to the main building, which was slightly better. Doubletree bedding is always the best. So cozy and comfy.

Walked into the first room, the toilet was constantly running, which drove my husband crazy sound-wise. The room smelled SO moldy, my asthma immediately flared. Building was clearly older and not kept up with. They moved us to the main building, which seemed newer, or at least the lobby did. Second room didn’t smell as bad, but definitely had an unpleasant odor. Wasn’t going to ask to move again. Just cranked up the AC to help dissipate. Cannot believe this was a $300+ a night hotel. Should have been no more than $200 with how run down it was.
