A Victory Hotel - Southfield

This place was so run down, unsafe, shady, dirty, gross and uncomfortable that we had to leave and book a different hotel. I should've read the reviews first. One of our rooms door frames was completely broke and missing showing that the door had obviously been kicked recently and the hotel didn't even fix it. This place should not even be listed on hotels.com .

I never stay at hotel like this ... I don’t even stay at Red Roof Inns but I booked a room there because I only needed to lay my head down for a few hours ... When I got to the hotel I booked the sold my room ... Expedia rebooked me a room ... Victory Hotel was horrible ... Dirty ... Dirty walls ... Room falling apart ... Had to mess up a good pair of flip flops just to take a quick shower ... Thankfully I carry Lysol and Clorox wipes everywhere I go ... This is the absolute most horrible experience I’ve ever had booking through Expedia ...

The obvious owner was looking at paper print outs of Expedia reservations as I observed him thru his bullet proof glass. At huge sign said they did not allow pets as Expedia listed them as pet friendly. He told me I would have to call Expedia to cancel the reservation. He did not want to call himself! Expedia told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee!! After venting my frustrations and Expedia calling the hotel owner I was given a refund took an hour of my time. Found out Motel 6 always takes Pets!!

The staff was helpful and nice, however, the rooms and hotel were dirty and very uncomfortable. Would not stay here again.

No comment because i don't have one. Just look at the pictures. Linens were dirty and full with hair.

It was a horrible hotel. I cannot believe how I spent two nights there. The room furniture is very old and used very badly. The room and passages smell very crazy and terrible.

Nightmare started while checking in. Attendant did not speak much english and acted as though I had no reservation. Unfriendly and unhelpful management. Hotel is in bad condition. Room was not in a condition to be used. Bathroom sink did not drain, unclean and bathroom door lock was broken. Room also smelled bad. My family and I decided not to spend the night and checked out...what a waste! I usually don’t write reviews but had to this time. Please avoid this place!

Not the best but you get what you pay for. Needs to upgrade

The man behind the counter got mad because he didn’t have notification of me having reservations. Which is understandable but he just went about it the wrong way. I don’t know if the jacuzzi was clean but I was scared to get in it. The pillows were bold. I barely wanted to stay.

Evening/morning staffperson was rude (not very professional)..We checked in with three adults, one child. Room had enough towels for two people. When we asked for additional set of towels, staff was "pretty rude" before he gave them to us. Credit card was used for "authorization only" however, amount of room was taken out before we arrived. No doorknob on bathroom door for privacy. Parking Lot and outer area of hotel was not very clean. Hotel appeared to be used for prostitution. We do not plan on returning to this hotel.
