Convenient location, excellent staff, Great breakfast!

The rooms were spacious, clean, well lit and air conditioned and very comfortable. Great views for beautiful early morning sunrise . WiFi connection also very good. I asked to change rooms as the first room was next to the lift so noise from other guests arriving during the night on the first night, was not helpful. Hotel kindly changed rooms next morning- the lady at the reception desk (Clairncy?) was super helpful

On check-out date, I inadvertently left my passport in the safe and 2 unopened, family-sized bags of chocolate in the fridge at the hotel. Within 30 mins of leaving the hotel I called back and asked for the passport and items left in the fridge he to be kept for my collection within the hour. I was informed the room had not been cleaned and items would be kept for my collection. Less than an hour later, my friend returned to the hotel to collect the passport and other items. She was told that the chocolates had been tossed. We were shocked because less than an hour prior, we were told the room was yet to be cleaned and we left instructions with the front desk to indicate we were on our way and all items should be kept safe for us. This led to a lot of back and forth and eventually the chocolates were returned to us, no apology etc. This left a bad experience to what was originally a very positive experience. Honesty really is the best policy .

Room is decent although the rooms in the front face Hwy 141 and gets noisy. Some loose tiles and door knob in the bathroom but didn’t affect our stay. Hotel is a bit tired. Only 1 elevator working so we took the stairs from 2nd fl. Ran out of coffee one day at breakfast so had to ask front desk employee to refill. No one else around. Not the Hyatt’s fault, but people are slobs at breakfast and spill cereal and food on the counters and floor, where it remains. Always had good experiences at Hyatt, but we won’t be back. Guess that’s why it’s the cheapest hotel in the area.

The staff. Only 1 staff member showed exceptional customer service. She was an African American lady who cleaned a table for us for breakfast, greeted us with the biggest smile. She was the only one who showed hospitality. Every other staff was rude and did not care about the guests. They didn’t have our room cleaned even when we asked. We asked for a rag to clean a table to was breakfast and they couldn’t give us one. Not to mentioned they closed breakfast a half hour early.

room was spacious, but very poor lighting. one outlet did not work in the room so we had to move the lamp to another outlet. hot water in "kitchen" sink area was not working (lots of air in the line). bathroom was very small. found a few hairs on the both beds in sheets but figured it may have been from housekeeping. sofa bed did not have sheets. sofa had some sort of sticky residue from previous guest. We had to turn the a/c unit completely off because it was very loud and noisy when running. ice machines were not working on the 5th floor, went down to the first floor to try that machine and it was out as well. front desk explained the machines were turned OFF and ice would be available through them. only one elevator was functioning and the other one was very slow. Changed cards upon check-in to get my points and was still charged on card that was booked instead. Breakfast looked appealing but was not good taste-wise. Left a pair of my shoes in the room and called to see if housekeeping turned them in; was told no shoes were ever located in the room. Very disappointed with the runaround and excuses from the front desk with no option to speak with someone from management.
