Pukaki Air Lodge

The Pukaki Air Lodge is located a few kilometres from Twizel. The rooms are spacious and there is a beautiful guest lounge and kitchen. Mary was a wonderful host. She even gave us some great advice on walking tracks for our day at Mt. Cook

The wifi dropped out. Mary was very quick to provide another code, but it dropped out again later in the evening.

It was a unique experience staying right on an airfield.

Everything was good.

The room was very large and perfectly clean and comfortable Mary was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful, and she gave us very good information and suggestions about the walking tracks at MT cook. I had really hoped to watch the stars at night, but unfortunately the sky was cloudy. Even so, it was still wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere.Thanks.

We liked the location being on an airfield with moving small aircraft. The room was immaculate with views over the runway. We loved the guest lounge upstairs with many books to read at our leisure. Mt Cook can be seen very clearly as a backdrop. How cool is that? All guests are able to use the well equipped kitchen using eggs, bread, juice, cereals and more supplied for us. It was a good place to meet other guests who all seemed to like this laid back place to relax. Mary our host could not do enough for us whilst staying for two nights. We were very impressed and will return next time we are in NZ.

Tolle Gastgeberin Mary die uns super Tipps mit auf dem Weg gegeben hat, für unsere weitere Fahrt. Super großes Zimmer mit mehreren Betten, wir hatten das Familienzimmer zu zweit. Man kann den Frühstücksraum auch abends zum Kochen benutzen und genießt dabei eine wunderbare Aussicht auf Mount Cook und aufs Rollfeld. Wieder erwarten war es super ruhig, und hatten keinen Lärm. Parkplatz vor der Tür. Es gab eine tee-station und einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer

Das ist ein bisschen weit weg vom Schuss, um in den Ort reinzukommen muss man noch mal losfahren

Very clean and very well run by the lady !! The crowd (Suite) at other end of airport could do with taking notice !!! One extreme to other for sure !!
