The apartment is a 4th floor walkup with no elevator! and one of the bedrooms was cramped under a slanted roof and you could not stand up at all.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable and in a Great location. We loved the roof terrace! It was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The hosts were super helpful in giving us information about the apartment, the local area and things to do etc.

My friends and I all said that there was a lack of mirrors in the apartment. Particularly no full length one. There was honestly nothing else we didn't like.

Overall, its a lovely apartment, modern, well decorated and the balconies were super. The living room is spacious and the 2 main bedrooms are nicely decorated and a good size. The location is also great (although busy, so might not suit light sleepers) and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.

The 3rd bedroom is a real problem, and IMO unless this can be improved, this really should not be marketed as a 3 bedroom apartment. You feel like you're sleeping in a cupboard. I don't know about Portugese building regulations but I can't imagine a room with only a small skylight and zero ability to stand up straight is a compliant bedroom in most countries. The pictures of bedroom 3 are misleading, they don't really show just how low the ceiling is, and the room is even more frustrating because there is no clothing storage, so you end up crawling around and living out of a suitcase. The other issue (which for us was not a problem) but there are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment, so it wouldnt suit anyone anyone with accessibility issues.

Everything else was excellent. Very clean. Great communication. Great location but the penalty for that is that it could get noisy. Great local info given by hosts.

Only a vanity mirror in each bathroom, non in bedrooms so drying hair and putting on makeup for 4 ladies was a challenge. A little noisy at night. Alot of stairs and not well lit for our 80 year old mum.

The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and in a great spot for sight seeing. The various balconies were an added bonus and appreciated. The managers of the property were responsive and friendly.

None of the following stopped us having a great stay, but something to be aware of.. The double bedroom upstairs with restricted height is really more for kids - not adults - ceiling is too low, it also had no where to hang/put clothes. Having two bathrooms was great, but where you hang the towels is really not very good. Would be much better to have hooks on walls / back of door. A word of caution for anyone thinking of using this property with kids, the main terrace railings are not very high (wouldn't pass building regs in the UK) which could be a danger. And lastly, the deposit of 150 euros was supposed to have been reimbursed within 7 days of our departure. It took several follow up calls/emails to the managers, and we finally got it back after a month. That shouldn't happen.

Spacious, clean & well appointed in a great central location.

No lift & 51 steps with our heavy luggage.
